i spent a week in San Francisco 3 years ago for training at one of the "big tech" companies

That place has so much potential, but is a total chit show with the bums literally taking dumps in the street. No Thanks Geoffrey

I actually forgot about that. The homeless in West coast, particularly SF and Seattle are aggressive and follow you around. In midwest/east coast cities like NY, Chicago, they leave you alone if you ignore them.

The difference a decade made in San Francisco is truly astonishing....

It went from one of the nicest cities in the US to a complete zoo...

Dumpster fire of a city + the most smug population. They are so proud of their POS. Great food/drink scene, so during lockdown, there had to have been 0 appeal unless you drove to the west coast.

My mom lives there, but she has a great job. She doesn't spend one minute in the city if she doesn't have to.

I've never seen more bums fight in my life in broad daylight.

I love big cities too: NYC...Chicago..LA..London...Tokyo...all A-OK in my book.

I am no fan of California, but LA is far superior to SF.

Nice place to visit, but nope to living.
Thus let me live, unseen, unknown;
Thus unlamented let me die;
Steal from the world, and not a stone
Tell where I lie.

I had a job interview with one of the big tech places out there in Mountain View. I asked for a week to stay + a rental car before making my decision if I wanted to accept the job, and spent some time driving around the area including SF. Hands down the worst, most disgusting place I've ever visited (and I've visited third world countries), couldn't imagine trying to raise a family there.

I don't know how they get people to move out there. I guess it's worth it if you want to live in a car and bank all your money for 3 or 4 years, then move the **** out with your $1mil+ investment balance but otherwise nah. To each their own, I know a few people who love it there, but I honestly have no idea why. It has nothing that any other big city doesn't have, has **** weather, is way too expensive, etc...

UK brah here.

Parents took me to San Francisco 30 years ago. We went to candlestick park and watched a niners game (supported them ever since), went to Alcatraz and of course the golden gate bridge. Is a beautiful memory. Seeing what the city has now become is sad. Looks like a fukin chithole

Has so much potential? What are you talking about? They HAD potential for decades and it was everyone's dream to move out there and be working for a cool tech company and the like. Too bad California as a whole took a **** and San Fran has run itself into the ground. There is no potential and their best days are far behind them. The young liberals destroyed it and are the prime inhabitants so there is little to no reason to expect any real progress or change despite them claiming to be progressive. They simply progressed into a pile of ****.

Its a filthy disgusting city, same as NYC. Used to go to the west coast for work. They tried to get me to move there. Hard pass, thanks.

The place is also a total sausage fest. Average women that are no more than a 5 think they are HBB. And the beta IT dorks worship them and the ground they walk on. This is on top of the SJW nonsense. That crap has been going on there forever.

Sorry Yay Area brahs, but decades of absolute female miscer tier voting behavior has resulted in you living in an absolute chit hole and I refuse to do anything but lol directly in your face.

My company is based on SF, and I had to take a trip there for some work chit. Company has office in the Transamerica Pyramid-- one of the landmarks of SF history, or so I heard. Literally across the street in the pubic square, in the middle of the SF financial district, there were hordes of homeless opioid addicts shooting up, smoking up, selling their societal cancer, and just tripping balls in general.

Human chit-- thought was just a meme. Nope, dudes just chit openly and no one says... well, chit about it!

Homeless takeover-- lived in Seattle for almost a decade so I'm used to seeing bums and chit. Not to the level that SF has though. They are literally in almost every doorstep, sleeping at every bus stop, etc., etc.

You *******s got exactly what you voted for.

Imagine being surrounded by bums fecal matter and *******s and. paying top tier for it.

Used to love it. Last time I was there, company put us up at the Parc55 in Union Sq. Forest fires in Napa made the room smell like a campfire. Outdoors it smelled of weed, chit, piss and forest fire.

Couldn't wait to leave. Took a wrong turn around 2015 and it has chit the bed.
