Van Damme all day.

The one with the Train is probably my favorite Segal movie. But lost all my respect for him since he is actually a total autist irl.

Meanwhile Van Damme went on a Chad like coke spree and still looks solid even in his old age. He was also god tier when he was younger.

Steven Segal was scared to fight Van Damme in a street fight during a party Sly Stallone hosted.

Agreed.....

As far as Seagal's best...any (2) of his first three films.
Above The Law....Marked For Death...Out For Justice.
Many of this latest movies are mediocre at best and most with terrible sound.

Of course, our personal subjectivity rules here.
Always liked the martial art genre which prompted me to take 1.5 years of TKD.
Shvt....that was back in my early 40's and I got to green belt but the location (Choi's TKD) suddenly closed down which was a real let down.

Generally speaking....I'll take Van Damme any day....he has far more better movies throughout his career.

Have a great day....

Best thing about Van Damme were the Go Daddy commercials.

For van damn bloodsport and the quest are almost the same movie. I like the quest better. His 2nd best is either kickboxer or timecop for me

Segals is marked for death and under seige

Van damn is just a legit cool dude. Doesnt talk **** about ppl like segal. Did. I remember segal on arsenio hall show talking **** about bruce lee and chuck norris both

I dont like loud mouths and tough guy personas. Real tough guys dont act or carry themselves that way

Better movies. Better actor. Better person. Van damn all day.

Did you guys know segal is a real deputy sherrif in new orleans. . that is real wassnt just for the show. But im sure he gets no respext. Hes a weeekend cop who throws on the uniform for the camera and the attention. Most likely nothing more .

My two favorite Van Damme movies are Bloodsport and Kickboxer.

My two favorite Segal movies are Above the Law and Out for Justice.

They are both entertaining in their own way.

I mean you are right that Segal was publicly a dick - Van Damme it all comes from cast and crew on his movies that he is a PITA to work with.

Not a huge fan of either, though I'll admit I don't think I've ever seen a Van Damn movie that wasn't Timecop or Street Fighter. I need to get up to speed one of these days and have a marathon. Fingers crossed for another lockdown!!!

Under Siege was one of the first martial arts action movies I watched as a kid and it was great. Anything Seagal after that can S my D. He achieved a Gary Busey-like change, albeit without the accident. His moves slowed down considerably and his acting went from decent to toilet. Even comparing him to guys around that era, like a Jet Li or Jackie Chan, gets me looking around the room wondering if we're watching a joke video.

This scene keeps me coming back to youtube every couple of months though:

not much to argue there - I would take Dolph Lundgren's movies over either of these two

Seagal had some 10/10 movies srs. Hard to beat stuff like Under Siege and Under Siege 2: Dark Territory, the latter being one of my all time favorite movies.
