Dutch news on the vaccine and covid - predictions

The dutch cdc predicts covid can be gone within 6 months if people take the vaccine. They fear the youth can become a problem as they don't experience symptoms from covid (and therefore may decide not to get vaccinated) <- this part is not mentioned but you can fill it in.

I dont see how this is a problem because people who are affected by covid can jist take the vaccine where as people who dont get affected dont need to take it because they dont harm the ones vaccinated @ logics.

Opinions?

It's not like side effects can be a real thing. Especially not on a new vaccine which we have no idea what sides will come from until many years into the future since there has been no decades long study over it. Let's just inject it!

Because immunity may be limited you need to block all pathways for the virus.

So if everyone gets the vaccine in a short period of time the virus runs out of hosts before we run out of antibodies or it mutates again.

It can, we don´t know yet. It´s also the possibility that the vaccine will only be effective for a few months, before the antibodies fade below the threshold.

While I'm not opposed to taking a properly vetted vaccine, if you look at the numbers and data reported by the CDC you can see that out of the 220k deaths listed (USA) related to covid, only 6 % (roughly 13k) of them had covid listed as the only cause. I realize that for many people who are already sick there is nothing that they can do to act like their preexisting condition don't exist, but the reality is that the numbers aren't really that large when you dig into the data. 95k of those deaths involved pneumonia or influenza in addition to covid in some capacity and 45k of them involved diabetes. It's still not great and obviously nobody wants it or to jeopardize their health for something dumb, but the data does matter and it's important to note the difference between 220k dead of covid and 220k dead with an average of 2.6 comorbidities in conjunction with covid.

Flu is tough to deal with because it keeps mutating, same problem with HIV - hence the lack of vaccine. Nonetheless flu shot does do a good job curbing the infection on a population level, so if covid vaccine does as well, it would be a pretty big success.

The flu virus mutates a lot. It also mutates in a way that makes it hard for the human immune system to defend against those new mutations. Other viruses also mutate (there are quite a few strains of polio, for instance) but your body can readily deal with them anyhow.

Coronaviruses are not new. There are about 3-4 of them that cause colds (rhinoviruses are the other viruses that cause colds). Coronaviruses do not mutate so readily, and not in a way where those mutations cause the body difficulty. There have been many attempts to create coronavirus vaccines - since the 1950s - precisely because they are so stable. Creating a vaccine has never been the problem. They have never succeeded because no one has been able to solve the hypersensitivity problem - after you take the vaccine and you're exposed, you get worse symptoms than if you didn't take the vaccine.

It's literally the cure for the common cold.

The government creates a problem: COVID, out of thin air. With no real proof it exists (everyones mysteriously asymptomatic, or if it does manifest it looks exactly like the flu). Miraculously they find a vaccine. So of course they have the solution to the problem they created. Fastest vaccine every created by a large large margin. Almost like there was no disease to be vaccinated so its just an unknown chemical solution containing god-knows-what. Most of us are unsympotamatic of this fake virus, so we experience no relief of symptoms just whatever this unknown concoction does to our bodies.

Its exactly the same as a mob guy ransacking your store and beating you up then coming back a week later and offering you his protection for a weekly payout.

No vaccine for me, im not stupid enough to take one.

COVID doesn't exist.
The vaccine isn't a vaccine, because there is no disease to be vaccinated for. Everyone is simply catching the flu or a slightly mutated version of it. The vaccine is whatever chemicals, mind adjustments the government wants to force you to take.

Of course the antibodies disappear after a while. But your body remembers how to make them. So if you get infected again, your body will make the antibodies.

Do you really think your blood is presently coursing with antibodies for polio, measles and the zillion other diseases you've been exposed to?
