Dated/ was engaged to ten years ago. She stopped doing fitness competitions when she was told you had to start doing dat dere to stay on top. Wasnt willing. I would bet she isnt on anything.

Fun fact, my wifes parents are split. Mom is married and dad has a gf.

It is super common for her dad to drop in at her moms place when we are there. he legit just walks in. They have dinner together as couples occasionally, and are great friends.

When they split they agreed that they would remain close for my wife and her sister. And that just kept going.

How long did it take you to reach that? Did she have a legit reason to end things?

I think when we are young, we assume a break up means there is something wrong with us or we are inadequate - you can see it with people's behavior when dating, they basically pretend to be someone they are not. As I got older, I started being more up front and honest about who I am - I'm a man child, my place is a disaster, I have no desire to go anywhere if I can't wear shorts, etc. Some women don't want that type of guy and that's ok.
