Just finished "Parasite" [srs]

Hey misc
i just felt lost
and confused and
emotionally hurt after
watching it, felt something between sympathy
and degeneracy and decisiveness!

they managed to do a good job

i would say its a 9/10
movie is superb

would recommend!

Yeah it’s good. Certainly different. The ending seemed out of place though. Like the rich family didn’t do enough to justify what happened there with the poor dad. Seemed out of the blue.

The rich mum was hot AF though. Gotta say I did fap over the fingering scene

I’m convinced everyone is too afraid to admit what a chit movie it is. Whole premise of an incompetent family who can’t fold a pizza box correctly can become genius con artists with a couple hand waving montages is fuking retarded. Entire rest of the movie is trope after trope with the inane “shocking” party scene. It was pretty cinematography wrapped around a pile of dog chit and bad acting.

I agree. When the only thing you can assume is that the motivation is a built up aggravation from a life of poverty, odd jobs / illegal activities, and eventually "faking it till you make it" to assimilate into modern upper class, it breeds in my head at least that the writers/directors should've added a bit more depth of negativity from the rich family. Make them behave a bit worse than they did, more judgmental, etc.

I didn't really care for the movie to be honest. Definitely didn't live up to the hype. I give it 3 out of 10 "meh's".

I thought it was an OK movie, found it hard to really care what was happening with the characters if I'm honest as none of them were really very likable. The poor family were all scum bag con artists which if anything was their most redeeming quality. I mean the guy pretending to be the tutor was grooming his school girl student, that's not OK. The rich family you had a dumb wife, spoiled horny daughter, inattentive dad who treats his staff poorly, young boy runs amok like an animal.

I thought it started off well but once I realised everyone in the film was basically unlikable I just lost interest. I get humans are flawed but I struggled to find any redeeming qualities in any of them. I personally preferred Bong Joon Ho's earlier film The Host.
