I meditated for 8 hours, every day for a week

I just do things automatically lately. No resistance and negative thoughts when I have to do the dishes for instance. It´s not even me doing it, it just gets done. I enjoy doing the simple little tasks. Everything goes so much smoother when there are no negative thoughts standing in the way.

Been meditating almost daily since I was 16 (yeah yeah im awesome), but ramping it up lately. Wanna get my phd in meditation and ego studies by the end of the year. Doing long sessions where you ponder the world and meditate are amazing to ground you. Being aware and studying the ego and the tactics it uses. Concentration meditation is something I need to get better at though. Looking at the trees when meditating for long periods, the trees and nature barely even seems real. It looks like a facade. Imagine right now, everything that is happening right now. The trees in a forrest on the other side of the world, that you can´t see, but you can sense.

If you can´t sit for at least 1 full hour without moving a muscle, unironically kill yourself. You know that certain monks can sit 8 hours+ without even moving a muscle, not even to scratch?

I went to those Vipassana retreats twice after Frank Yang's video.
Meditate 12 hours a day. 6 of these days you're not allowed to change positions.
Got mostly no gains. Had the same dumb thoughts when I didn't meditate and got an inferiority complex because I don't do my daily 2 hours.
Meditation is kind of eh.

Thats pretty hardcore if you´re not used to it. I hope you had some meditation practice before you did that. But some people benefit more than others of course. Overthinkers should benefit a lot, learn to distinguish between thoughts and awareness.

I've done a bit of Eckhart Tolle's meditation from Power of Now before my first retreat in 2017. They're alright. Not THAT hardcore. My biggest worry was thinking that I was being converted into a cult lol. I cleared it like a boss tho.
Maybe I just don't notice the gains anymore because I'm initiated idk. It was nice to ditch internet, electronics, and people for 10 days for sure though.

Mirin. I have been slacking on my practice lately. Had been doing it for 45 to an hour every day since the first lockdown. Meditation is freedom to me.

You can try to relax your mind, but don´t try to not think, that doesn´t always work. Just relax your mind and try to slow down.
Or focus on your breathe, a sound, a sensation in your feet, a candle light. You can focus on something.
There´s many ways. I like to slow down and get aware of reality and the experience, thats my favorite way. Thoughts will come up, and thats okay. Just bring back focus and stay aware.

I like to put some weird humor into my posts. It´s just my posting style that makes it more fun and games.
I think being a "monk" and at the same time tell people to kill themselves if the´re not as good as me, to be pretty funny. I´m not a monk tough, just a pretty ordinary guy

“Steroids is now just a word that the lazy and ignorant use to describe any guy that has more muscle and dedication than them”– Mike O'Hearn

"I am like getting the feeling of cumming in the gym; I'm getting the feeling of cumming at home; I'm getting the feeling of cumming backstage; when I pump up, when I pose out in front of 5000 people I get the same feeling, so I am cumming day and night. It's terrific, right? So you know, I am in heaven."

I did it for a week. I don´t meditate that much everyday. I wanna aim towards 3 hours every day tho on the reg. Meditation/contemplation. Besides, I don´t have any work or school to show up to because of covid. I can either meditate a lot, or stay on the misc and annoy yall more.

Truth is reality in front of you before you take claim of it.

Must be nice not having a job
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Thats not really the main goal, but when you get to a certain point you don´t even get bothered by an itch. But yeah you want to have a mind at ease.
