I know the mere mention of a fast court triggers a meltdown but try to read the room champ.
Nadal has 2 wins off clay against Djokovic in TEN YEARS. ZERO in SEVEN YEARS. Have you considered the possibility that faster courts might actually help him? Or do you want more of the same?

Surely, winning 40 FOs will convince people Nadal isn't just the greatest clay court specialist of all time.

What's the point of posting a Wimbledon match from 12 years ago when they played there last year?
Sorry mate, Federer with a larger frame to cut down shanks on the backhand finally figured out how to play him and it's been one way traffic ever since.
Dodged a bullet with that last minute walkover in Indian Wells leaving Federer to address the crowd. Bull knew it would have been another red hot thrashing. 100% in his head outside of Chatrier.

At least ol' Rog had the balls to face him for those 4 losses in 2013. Where was the struggling Nadal in 2015 when Federer was only losing to Djokovic? Just the one meeting in Basel where he was paid a lot of money to show up.
What always stands out to me in the H2H isNadal has only 3 wins after Roland Garros.
Out of 40 matches they played 12 times after RG and Nadal's record is3-9. Think about that. From Wimbledon to ATP Finals your "GOAT" has beaten Federer only3 times in his career. Once in 2008 and it took 5 hours*. Twice in 2013. During a 16 year rivalry he's got 3 wins in the second half of the year. Wow.
*As for Wimbledon 2008, fair play to him but this is what it looked like during the ceremony. When was the last time you saw a Wimbledon match finish in those conditions? I'm at peace with the outcome but if it ended with a different result let's not pretend you wouldn't have wanted them to come back the next day.

How is it cherry picking? There are 4 slams. Nadal dominated Federer at only 2 of them in the first half of the year.
9-1 Nadal where he's won 14 slams. After RG...
1-3 Nadal at Wimbledon and 0-0 US Open. 4 meetings in 16 years where Federer won 13 SLAMS to Nadal's 6.
July-November is where Federer hauls in his titles. How many times has Nadal faced him in his best tournaments?
10 x Halle(0)
8 x Wimbledon(4)
7 x Cincinnati(1)
5 x US Open(0)
6 x ATP Finals(5)
That is laughable. Talk about choosing your battles.

Pointless discussing this with someone who started watching 5 years ago and only follows one player but yes moving to a larger frame absolutely changed the matchup.
Nadal only has one strategy to beat Federer. Heavy topspin moonballs to the BH, rinse repeat until I get the error no?
Moving to a larger frame allowed him to reduce the shanks and take bigger cuts on the BH side which was his only liability. It also gave him the confidence to start stepping in and being more aggressive on that side and he could put the slice away which we know Nadal loves.
The difference against Nadal in his twilight years with a 5 year age gap is crystal clear — 7-2 since he switched. The evidence is all there. His topspin is no longer a problem unless they're on clay and he can happily avoid him there for the rest of his career.

Trudope is starting to sound a bit unhinged. Well, maybe not starting.

I think the biggest issue why Federer struggled with Nadal post 2008 is he started playing more conservatively after 2006 (probably due to the obsession to win a FO title) and started getting into extended baseline exchanges even off clay.
AO 2009 - Now his baseline game was good in the final but serving like 40 % in a GS Final, that's rare for Roger.
Nadal has severely declined in foot speed which reduces his court coverage which has helped Federer tremendously since 2017 along with the larger frame.
However, if Nadal couldn't get the top spin tactic to work even back in the day, Roger won those matches comfortably. IW'12 for example.
Federer obviously started having massive stamina issues during their best of 5 set matches at AO after 2009 as well.
I'd say that Federer's slice and serve works very well on tourneys held between July to the end of the year in the specific match up against Nadal so he doesn't have to adapt much to beat Rafa there. The play patterns don't usually matter much if they meet here.
One thing I'd disagree with is that Nadal is a better "ballstriker" than Djokovic. In most of their encounters, it is still Nadal that's usually playing with a way higher margin.
Nadal's greatest strengths have always been court coverage and his movement all of which work perfectly on clay. There's no one better than Nadal when it comes to playing reactive tennis (counterattacking/quick transition from defense to offense) as well on ALL surfaces.

6 of the Top 10 including Djokovic are playing Vienna (ATP 500) next week. Novak obviously looking to lock up YE#1 to tie Pete Sampras (6) and is currently 1890 points ahead of Nadal. Paris Masters (1000) and ATP Finals (1500) left.

I'm a Nadal fan, but saying he hasn't struggled against Djoker/Fed off clay is just as silly as Fed fans saying Nadal is a "clay court specialist". Just appreciate we're seeing the three best players of all-time playing at such a high level for so long. Who are we going to look forward after these three retire? Theim? Zverev?

Djokovic is such a *******. 2 and 1 to Sonego? He threw that match. His comments after the match didn’t help things either.

Looks like Paris is only good for Rafa if it’s Roland Garros.

Djokovic won't be winning the ATP Finals this year. Thiem beat him in the semis a few minutes ago on his 6th match point.
Could be Nadal's best chance to finally win this thing. Faces Medvedev tonight for a shot at Thiem tomorrow.

Medvedev and Thiem on this court will be a tough ask.
Djokovic has now lost 4 of his last 8 matches? Mental slump incoming?

All it takes is Mookie Betts, Steph Curry, and Joe Burrow all sitting in the same car in order for one drunk driver to make the world a significantly better place.

Another very negative trend I've seen is his shot selection, Moya better get on his case about those two things.
