What kind of students were you brahs ?
High school:
- class clown
- constantly skipping class and getting suspended
- year 1,2,3 my average was a D or around 53 people percent
- had a meeting with principal saying I’m on a list of Ontario high school students who have been identified at risk for not graduating high school
- final year I got all As in AP (university prep courses) and got into uni
University:
- 75 percent or 3.0 gpa
- skipped 95 percent of classes and only showed up for mid terms and finals
- if we had a group project I’d literally just delegate tasks, bring coffee and then present the stuff
- always cheated when the opportunity presented itself
- drank a lot and worked at a bar

I'm not sure what most people thought of me I know it's positive. I made a lot of friends outside my fraternity. Unfortunately I was such a party animal I dropped out (1.75 GPA) and I'm in the process of transferring to a different school.

HS:
- Went from high 80s or higher grades pre-HS and in the early years of it to a gradual decline as I didn’t give a fuk. Just barely graduated with Honors (80+ average)
- Was generally an awkward fuker, but was fairly athletic, had friends and sloots were mirin (srs)

Currently doing a masters. Doing fairly well so far but doing it from home is killing motivation

early school - thought i did well but was surprised when i look back at report cards and teacher comments, was disinterested and unchallenged
highschool - went to a stemcel school and did really well, put with the other nerds with more challenging classes
undergrad - did very well at first, somewhere in the middle started to get really bad with procrastinating, really fuking my chit up before pulling it together near the end

Came out with nine scholarships / awards, represented my program in an annual meeting with industry, had a 4.0 GPA until the last semester, finished with a 3.925 GPA and at the top of the graduating year, did an interview with the school a couple years after for "successful students" from the program, was on the student council and worked part time as a technical writing tutor for diploma / degree and ESL students

High school: always there but never gave it but 75% effort. Played sports and such. Never took a ton of interest in classes.
College: Lucky enough to where my parents could pay for it all. This I took seriously because I respect my parents and I wasn't going to blow this change if they were paying for it. Graduated Magna Cum Laude. Didn't walk though because they **** is a waste of time.

-Skipped classes and showed up late often (my school was filled with degenerate so since I made good grades I had a lot of leeway to do whatever I wanted)
-Did the minimum of maintaining good grades and never got involved with many extracurriculars
-Did not study for or take the SAT seriously. Ended up with a mediocre score
-Never took AP classes or honors classes even though I could have
Basically a lot of wasted potential in HS, aside from good grades (roughly a 3.9) I didn't do sh*t else
University:
-Year 1 realized I had no idea how to study so I had to learn
-Skipped classes like in HS and that backfired on me, learned you need to attend
-Still didn't get involved with extracurriculars/internships like I should have (more wasted potential but I didn't really know tbh)
-Mainly just focused on getting A's and B's in everything (3.6 GPA)
-Transferred twice and switched majors a lot in the early going
-In the last two years, added a major and got involved with a research lab (one of the few bare minimum activities I did that saved me enough to get into grad school)
-Failed to get in grad school first try
-Post-undergrad got a job that also built my profile for grad school, reapplied finally got accepted
Grad school:
-Focused a lot more on internships and experience
-Went to conferences and conducted research (though the program basically made that a requirement)
-Used extra credits my scholarship provided to tack on some undergrad classes I missed the first time around with the thought of maybe doing med school after (I did not end up doing it)
-Volunteered in the area as well
-Far more proactive as a student in general
I worked out every day throughout all of these levels. It became more serious over time with more experience so it was probably the most intense and focused in grad school, similar to my progression as a student.
I drank more in HS and undergrad, by the time grad school rolled around I really didn't drink any more.
Played baseball in HS, intramurals in college. I didn't hook up with anywhere near as many sloots as i should have throughout all of this. Social anxiety a big part of that. Probably some body image issues contributing to it as well.

Never skipped school a day in my life. My parents would beat me until I was blue if I was ever caught.
Never did my homework because I didn't (and still don't) believe in homework so I was a B student my entire career.
I was on the debate team and eventually become an Assistant coach. I learned to Speed Read and did it almost daily for 7 years. Now I speed read everything, I can't turn it off.
Uni was basically 10 page papers every week for 5 years. Since I learned how to speed read I would spend a day and read all of my books for every single class in one go. Got a full ride all the way to a Masters. Didn't even know student loans were a thing (srs)

Public school developed some school friends but also got bullied by big dummies who have failed a grade or two. Junior high the bullying was still there but not as much since I had a few friends. (My mom always told me not to fight back and just walk away, worst advice ever but she didn’t know, sweetest mom ever). So I was starting to also wise up and not take any flack from these cowards but at the same time noticed that these idiots seem to have a troubled home life or difficult life and that’s part of why they were arseholes and just plain felt bad for them. By highschool the bullying stopped because now I would push back, I was stronger than I looked and probably went through a growth spurt. I became a loner for the most part, a lot of my previous friends got into hard drugs and I wasn’t getting anywhere near that with my addictive personality. Girls liked me a lot in highschool, started growing into my looks but they were shy... well... most were lol. I have ADD and maybe some other things going on that have never been diagnosed so the teachers noticed and said I could have special ed classes if I wanted but I said no thanks because I didn’t want to get labeled that way, was afraid ppl would think I’m stupid so just toughed it out. Some classes took a lot of effort to get through like math and english but as long as I passed the grade I didn’t care. Excelled in art class, I liked science class, history and geography and of course phys ed. Graduated highschool without failing any grades, said to myself I’m so glad this is over, I am here now.

My father died when I was 7, so I was kind of a late bloomer and struggled until I got to College.
In Jr. High and High School, they were public schools full of losers and degenerates who had no business being in school at all, but they lowered the bar to where I did OK anyway as compared to them.
I realized pretty quick that College had a lot in common with a scam, so I would buy used textbooks for classes I never took, because I didn't want to waste my time and money on all the BS pre-requisites, and teach the subjects to myself. (Early 90's - before the internet took off) I would also sit in on lectures for a few classes I never registered for to learn things.
Textbooks were also a scam, so I did OK buying older edition used textbooks, even though the professors told us to get the new, updated edition. A few of my professors authored the textbooks, so of course they wanted the students on the college plantation to keep buying new ones. A few classes I never bothered to buy the textbook at all at first, and then only if I found out it was really needed.
I knew some friends who would all buy a textbook together, then xerox the pages they needed for the class.
A lot of the teachers and staff at the State school I went to were miserable, and only did the bare minimum because they needed a paycheck. They didn't care about teaching or the students at all and it showed.
Parking was also a scam. There weren't enough parking spaces, so everyone would have to park in the grass and get tickets. One student government bozo finally told me about a secret parking lot way in the back of the school that was usually empty because it didn't appear on any maps of campus anywhere.
It got to be really ridiculous, so I just went with my 2-year degree and quit going, never getting my 4 -year degree. I technically have a Senior standing, but just don't care. I've never needed the 4-year degree for working in Broadcasting, anyway.

Fact: My first-generation uncle was a boxer who fought Sugar Ray Robinson! He also fought in the war, sacrificing the career he deeply loved, so people could have the right to freedom.

Hs - went to a pretty bad hs and did the bare minimum, still graduated top 10 of my class. Most kids at my school were doing drugs/getting pregnant, so it wasn't hard to do better than them.
First 2 years of uni - skipped and failed most classes, lost a scholarship, didn't care about school at all and had no direction in life. Was on the verge of getting kicked out of uni and family stopped talking to me for a while, those were some rough times.
Year 3-4 & masters - Got my act together, mostly all A's, and busted my ass to get a decent job out of grad school. Life's pretty good now.

To the OP- I was a good student. Subjects in school aren’t supposed to be impossible....you just learn to study correctly, and it helps to take an interest in what you’re studying.
