I take your point and I probably came across a little bit more anti personal ownership of firearms than I actually am. My point was never that people shouldn't step in and defend each other. It was that using firearms inside a bus is a stupid way to do it and that having a whole bunch of people who's masculinity is so wrapped in a firearm that they can't imagine other options (such as physical strength) is actually more dangerous than having a few crazies with knives.

A 10 year-old girl can operate a firearm. A cucked liberal soy-boy can operate a firearm. A single knife wielding attacker on a bus has limited mobility, he can be closed down and jammed up into a wall or the floor where his range of motion with the knife is virtually neutralized. One would have to protect the neck, groin, wrists and core while closing the distance and then other people will pile in and shut him down. There would likely be multiple items to improvise as a shield for this purpose on a bus, such as a backpack.

I am seeking to highlight the fact that so many of these gung-ho gun nuts are straight up coping with feelings of powerlessness and this is dangerous and unhealthy. Guns have a place, typically in the hands of people well trained to use them. I believe firmly that people should have that right but carrying and using a deadly weapon should come with responsibility not machismo. I'm not saying you or anyone here in particular are like that, I don't know you, but I am sick of seeing frauds parading around tooled up like CoD acting hard when they aint got chit. It is reckless, pointless and counter-productive to the real threats to freedom.
