Plus, the way society is going right now, you have to be foolish or selfish to have children right now.

they really think the world is worse than it ever has been and it's too hard to have kids in 2020. even though every generation has had their challenges to overcome and still reproduced.
then they will watch their group's numbers dwindle and blame others for the consequences of them CHOOSING not to reproduce

The days the avg kid costs over 250k to age 18. Let me know when you have a cool million sitting around to raise 4 kids.
You'll notice that wealthy people are having as many kids as they can pop out. Bezos has 4, Musk has 6, Gates has 3, Buffett has 3, Zuckerberg has 2 (and will probably have more) , Ellison has 2, Ballmer has 3, Page has 2, Brin has 3. The average American male has 1.93.

Cruise companies are based out of Panama and other countries specifically to avoid U.S. taxes. Yet they still had the audacity to beg the USG for a bailout in March.

Now you can buy a so-so brand car that's 5 yrs old and drive it at least another 100,000 miles. But yes, you didn't have to buy your 6 yr old a chromebook for school, you didn't have child protective services showing up at your house for a year because your 8 yr old was riding their bike a mile away from home. Pros and cons of now and then. We had our second child during this pandemic. I wish he'd have been born a year before or later, but nothing's perfect. You could raise a family on one income.
It seems like most people today think their lives have to be perfect before even thinking of having kids. Most everyone in the past was just winging it themselves. Don't let Hollywood make you think parents knew what they were doing better than we do today. They didn't. While most kids had 2 parent homes back in the day, many of them were households similar to mine in the 80s and 90s where my dad worked 50-55 hours M-F, then a half day on Saturdays. And he was in bed way before I was. Practically only saw the guy at dinnertime and on Sundays.

I know it's an inconvenience monetarily, but life is about more than money, srs. It will be a sad existence being old and childless and I can pretty much guarantee you guys will regret it.

if a good woman popped into their life they'd leave that crew in an instant. Their insistence on that bs crew is to cope for failing to land a good woman, which is becoming increasingly difficult due to a lower supply. Due to obesity, cock carousel riding, social media simps inflating their self-worth, just to name a few.... The good ones tend to get snatched up early and even if you go for them young most "good ones" arn't going to want some dude whos a decade older+ when they have access to tons of decent dudes their own age in their social circles.

I'd say the first 18 years of your life are predominantly determined by your parents. Could argue that this bleeds further on into your lower/mid twenties, since you could've had advantages (free car, free tuition, etc.). But regardless by the time you're 25+, your life is your own fault and problem. You either have some meaningful education or you haven't. You either began a career or you didn't.
Makes the ratio more like ~33% of your life is predominantly predetermined by your parents. Assuming you live till your 70's+.

Not exactly a bad thing but not a good thing in some cases also.
We have wayyyyy too many people on this planet.
The downside is that the people that shouldn't be having a lot of kids are having a lot of kids.
