So are stocks to be fair. You can turn the simple concept of "investor ownership" of a company into a night at the casino in stocks just as much as you can crypto.

The awares have seen me post at least a half dozen non trolley articles or ideas about xrp since May, and now i'm up 65% on a pretty obnoxious stack. Stocks just sound more prestigious but there's money to be made in crypto all the same. Get educated on one, make smart entry points and enjoy the ride.

(Pro Tip: Choose Ethereum)

Well worthlessness isn't determined by you, its determined by the market which considers BTC to have value (over the course of 10 years no less).

If you are confident it is worthless you can take out a levered short on crypto at Okex, Binance and FTX and make an absolute killing.

Your next response may be "but oh people are stupid and large organisations are stupid and they will bid up or maintain the price irrationally", then that is the very acknowledgement that crypto (BTC) has value.

If you dumped $50k USD into bitcoin at a average price of $6200, you'd have 8 btc which is currently worth $150,000

IF you were a chad and bought the bottom at ~3,400 you would have 14.7btc..... $275,000

Used a loan to pick up more at 3.7k. Stupid and great at the same time. But if it makes me a chad, then that's all I really wanted.

Most cryptos should be worthless, and they eventually will. Still in a bubble, exactly like the .com bubble. Only a few of the coins will survive after the casino closes.

Haven't visited thread in a bit, but remember you writing all kinds of negative stuff on btc etc. Just wondering why you stay here if it's is all that bad? Just invest in shaker cups and move on. Apologize if there is an underlying mental disorder.

Bit of both, I certainly prefer to invest in things I can get behind since Iโ€™m a long term investor.

Your money is like a vote, with orders of magnitude differential impact depending on how much $ and for what duration.

Iยดm on a higher plateau than everyone else here. Yall canยดt relate because Iยดm 950 steps ahead of each and everyone of you. I have crypto and I can post as much as I want. Iยดm part crypto. I was trying to leave and stop posting here, but yall keep quoting me and feeding me. Stop quoting me, and Iยดll stop posting.

Wrapped bitcoin is Bitcoin that is wrapped for use on Ethereum.

People send their Bitcoin to Bitgo (custodian) -> Bitgo sends same amount of WBTC back to person on a 1:1 basis.

That person can use WBTC to trade, or deposit as collateral on places like Compound and Aave. By rights for every 1 WBTC that exists, there is 1 BTC locked up. Useful for trading on ETH, but it suffers from centralization issues. If Bitgo is seized, those backed Bitcoins dissappear.

There are trustless solutions being developed (i.e. Ren). People send BTC to Ren protocol contract -> dark pools store the BTC using shamir secrets -> you are issued with RenBTC. You can also trustlessly redeem your BTC with RenBTC.

Iโ€™ve written many times why itโ€™s worthless, and Iโ€™ve looked at shorting it before. I donโ€™t know WHEN it will be worthless, could be next year, could be 5 years. Iโ€™ve also said, many times, if you got out in time ahead, well done.

Yeah I'm honestly guessing this is the final bubble.

yeah I know, that's why I didn't exit during the 2018 bear market

Just think of it as milestones. The only thing left for BTC is an ETF, and I speculate that's going to happen in this run.

As for alts, they're unsustainable at the current rate.

And this time it's different, because institutions are publicly announcing they're getting into crypto.

i might be wrong but the next bubble I'm completely exiting the markets. That's my personal choice

I spent page 6 and 7 of this thread (in august) trying to drop hints but I was getting push back. Makes sense though, everyone and their nan thinking they have THE special project so i get the resistance. All you can do is do your due diligence invest, and wait.

Patience is everything. I think OMG is worth investigating as well in 2021
