dossed around year 7-11 got in minor trouble consistently, worked hard when it really mattered for GCSEs though and got all A*s and As.
Sixth form worked quite hard and was more motivated and organised, got AAA and went to Bristol to do physics.
Got to uni and just pissed around and partied constantly years 1 and 2, drinking and getting high with mates all the time, started working kinda hard or at lewast harder in third year cos i was just barely on a 2:1 (61%) then corona virus happened before my dissertation hand in and exams and they gave us all a no detriment policy so i literally got handed my 2:1 for free which was nice.
Now doing a masters and im trying to rediscover my Sixth form work ethic again

School - good at first. Then class clown. Then totally disillusioned with life and phucked it all up and left with practically nothing.
Night school to get enough a-levels to go to uni (oops lol) - absolute 100% focus and teacher’s pet. Aced it all, finally accessed my potential.
Uni - pilled to the gills twice a week, total party monster but knew how to focus when necessary.
Now I’m a boring nerd who spends his spare time reading text books and looking at mock exams.
No regrats but I do wonder what I could have done if I hadn’t been such a phucking idiot at school.

Homeschooled all the way through hs. Good grades but I only studied the stuff I was interested in. Used to do a bunch of debate research and speech editing for other homeschooled kids in hs.
Couldn't afford college till I was early 20s, was working full time overnights and taking full time credits, so I kinda skated with B's and C's for a year, zero social life, and then I dropped out to get married.

got recruited by several D1 schools to play Tennis but quit because i didn't want to play in college

I never developed good study habits/discipline, hated school (college wasn't so bad, but grades 1-12 I pretty much hated).
Coasted by, and managed to get good grades a lot while being lazy. There were times/certain classes, where my grades reflected my laziness though for sure.
Got through a Masters, and my grad school grades were actually good.

Went to a very preppy high school with the cliche jocks, cheerleaders, stoners etc everyone got along well though
Enjoyed high school mostly hung out with my soccer crew
Never Skipped
Did above average had a 3.4 or 3.5 GPA somewhere around there
Barely studied
I was very good at cramming the night before or the day, and would easily take in info for the test.

In high school I was a decent student until senior year. Got senioritis real bad and felt like it lasted thru college.
I had no idea what I wanted to do, wasn't great at math so that ended up limiting my options even more. Didn't want to be in school at all, even took a semester off. I was glad to go back when I did but still was a terrible student. My path of least resistance was a Geography degree.

I got good grades in HS but I never absorbed anything. I would literally just memorize everything word for word.
In college I had no fukking clue what I wanted to do with my life. I wasted a lot of time and money getting a degree I gave no chits about. If I had any sort of parenting back then, I would have better off getting some sort of advice about college or life decisions.

I was the naturally smart but absolutely chit tier work ethic student. Any class that didn't interest me I put in 0 effort but still managed a B, C if the class was difficult or required a lot of work that I wasn't going to do. Any class that caught my fancy, I would ace.

Graduated both high school and bachelor's with a similar GPA... about 3.3ish for both lol. In high school I took advanced courses, and was in marching band, but I remember I failed almost every "AP Test" which would've been used for college credit. Was fat until Junior year, didn't have a social life because I played video games all day when I wasn't doing school/band. Didn't have a car, didn't go to parties (or get invited to them). Didn't have a job either.
In college I barely ever drank except on the rare occasions for college football and random parties in the area from time to time, but I did enter the 420 world of things for a solid year. Had some low grades the first year, but didn't care cuz they were still passing. Until I had one semester where I failed every class, probably not a coincidence that my behaviors were chit at that time, skipped a lot of classes, smoke 420 and played games/watched anime all day, overslept and missed a final exam once, all around the same Semester that I was facing some entry level Computer Science courses. Took control of my life, stopped the 420, actually read through textbooks sometimes, did homework the day it was assigned, went to office hours, rarely partied anymore, etc. Also got a job.
Didn't get a car until after I graduated college though.
If I could go back in time I'd:
1) Lose weight / exercise more in Middle school so that entering High school I'd be somewhat fit/thin. Not an insecure chubby. Also probably would've been more diet conscious.
2) I wouldn't have gotten into the one relationship I got into in high school. I was just an immature pervert, srs.
3) I would've quit band a year sooner than I did. It lost its fun and become more of a chore/annoyance later.
4) Actually study/practice for the ACT/SAT before taking them, and then do retakes. Back then, I didn't care and just went in with base knowledge.
5) Start a part time job in place of band. Save some money. Work full time in the Summer. Would've strengthened my social skills and given me some cash to avoid some debt down the road, srs.
6) In College I'd have taken my classes more seriously for the first year or 2. Would've graduated potentially 2 Semesters sooner. Saving some money and starting to generate an income earlier by half a year.

Kids are....kids in elementary school. It’s great to be focused on academics and all, but we are talking about what are numbers, how to multiply and divide, etc- just silly to attach a rank or a #1 achiever to any of this.
I could imagine this could generate a false sense of superiority in a kid, and there could be negative consequences (they may not think they have to work as hard in later years and slack off, may think they are above a subject when they’re not, etc). This grade school “gifted” and advanced stuff is kinda silly anyway when you look back at it all....unless some kid is conjecturing the prime number theorem at 15 like Gauss or something like that...eh who cares.

-Graduated with Honors, 4.0 GPA
-Played 4 sports
-Didn't Party, didn't drink,
-Dated 1 girl for 2 years.
College....1st & 2nd year.....
-Academic Probation 2nd semester freshman year.....1.1 GPA
-Rarely made it to class.
-Drink/Smoke party almost every night.
-Lost scholarship
-No Sports played
-Mentality of "how many girls can I juggle?"
College....3rd/4th year
-Still rarely made it to class, never really studied, show up for tests, get a C+/B and be happy
-Literally 0 contact with my advisor/professors until I absolutely needed.
-Got a job at a bar, which oddly forced me to really cut back on partying....I'm working while y'all are partying.
-Still had manwhore mentality, which working at bar helped
-Played as many (intramural) sports as I could
-Kind of got my chit together enough to graduate with a 3.1 GPA....would have been better if I didn't have to pull up a 1.1
I regret some of my choices early on in college.
