Guys with this body type are dangerous
Tall, lean with broad muscular shoulders & narrow hips. Never seen a top hitter boxer with scrawny shoulders they all got developed shoulders like Jackson especially front Delt muscles. Enough speed and power to even KO 200lb+ jocks

Hold everything - OP just discovered men with large muscles used in striking things hit hard. Fascinating.

Julian Jackson was a don
Dude should be up there with Tyson but I guess losing to Mclennen twice took away from his mystique

If you look at all the exercises that are meant to increase power and hand speed if you really look at what they target they target the delt muscles especially the front delt muscles. Most dudes you see irl have small shoulders, and they hit like b&tches

Had a friend who was into the MMA stuff. Used to fight in the cage with guys like this. He said his thing was to attack their lower body - go for their knees, shins and ankles as they are usually weak. He would tear them apart doing this. Once they were on the ground with them he would tear them apart.

Even just hitting the bag helps. I only hit weights 3 times a week. Also, it's not the shoulders, certain myostatin deficient groups are built that way and also have more fast twitch muscles. Correlation not causation.
You dont have to believe me but all im saying is dont knock it till u try it. Also genetics play a factor some people struggle to grow muscles in certain areas, and maybe have an easier time in different areas. Good news is even a bit of gains will make a difference.

Another guy is Andy Ruiz. This guy is almost comically built. Look at his fuking build next to a welterweight . No wonder he has the fastest hands at heavyweight rn. Manlet hips while being tall is a gift

p4p strongest puncher.
Lol @ assuming its shoulders though. shoulders are involved but really it all comes down to posterior chain and core strength.
hooks and uppercuts barely involve any shoulder at all, jabs do the most with crosses coming second but crosses require just as much core and chest as well as hooks/uppercuts
glutes/abs/hips>shoulders for boxing

Duran has developed shoulder muscles, and small hips. Also you mentioned glutes? Yes, upper glute muscles increase explosiveness & agility which increases power. The shoulders are the main contributer in power.

He was a great fighter who packed a punch. Duran was a very smart fighter look at how he picked apart a much taller stronger boxer in a close fight.

Point is, every boxer is going to have developed shoulders, not chit.
The important thing for punching power is strong hips and glutes though.

The only important part about your shoulders is the actual joint itself, how good your labrum and rotator cuff muscles are so they dont tear. the front delt will naturally get developed but there are much more important muscles for punching power. No, they cant be neglected, but majority of work should be abs and glutes.
Punching power comes from how much you can tense your glutes and abs at the point of impact, essentially making your body like an unmovable wall while your hips rotate as fast as possible. The power in a punch comes from this tensening of your body which starts with strong legs, glutes, abs, and shoulders and pecs, in that order of importance.
inb4 but why do boxers have twig legs. twig legs != they are not explosive. Most boxers can chop down the street like a cheetah
edit: hmm i guess I missed your main point: yes, its important to have a good shoulder to hip ratio. Thats why twinks like Ryan Garcia can hit the pads all they want but at most all he can expect is speed, not explosive knockout power. But why someone like Haney, even Rolly, can absolutely rip the bag
