Why do people travel to third world countries to get medical procedures done?

here's a blackpill: third world doctors are probably more experienced because theres fewer doctors/ 1000 population there and life is less valuable , bet they experiment all the time

also, hair grafting isn't exactly some magical procedure, its straightforward and doesn't matter which country you get it in, as long as the clinic is experienced and clean

Because it's 10% of the cost that it would be in the US. I haven't had any surgery done while traveling, but I will 100% do it at some point in the future.

I'm thinking of getting a hair transplant in Spain in about a year, and wouldn't hesitate to get much else done. It's not like the US has some secret sauce with medical.

That being said, I definitely wouldn't have gone overseas for LASEK. But any cosmetic procedures are fine.

It is cheap because of the exchange rate not because it is low quality. And now that bald tourism made a fame here they aren't raising prices to ruin it.

Legit never heard of these bad experiences that you said. Still doesnt mean you arent gonna get one. Makr research and choose well before coming. There are agencies in europe who organize these trips too, talk to them.

Say what you wanna say about Turkey but our medical industry is far better than Europe. Most of our professors did internship abroad and there are enough personnel& hospitals so noone waits for a single ultrasound/ blood test etc for a fukin month.OOooOo do not come here we might eat you too

Looks good brah. I see that you are using minoxidil and fin gave you unbearable sides. Just make sure you are using ketoconazole shampoo and dermarolling once a week.

If you don’t the rest of your hairs gonna fall out anyway and the transplant will have been a waste of money.

honestly, there has NEVER been a better time to get a hair transplant. no awkward time after the procedure where your coworkers/classmates will judge you....you can show up 1 year later after quarantine/wfh and have improved hair and people likely wont know any better.

Forget what the haters say, it looks good man but you're doing yourself a disservice by avoiding chemicals.

I've been dealing with hair loss since I was 16 on a serious level. I stopped reading after like page 2, but you said you'll approach the further loss when the transplant can't cover anymore of it at a later date and won't do fin now. Your thinking is deeply flawed, please don't think I'm attacking you, keep reading.

You have a limited number of DHT-resistant transplantable hairs. You can't cover the whole top of your head with the hair on your sides and back. It's not enough. We aren't technologically capable of transplanting follicles from other people yet. You are feeling on top of the world right now, with a thick full head of hair - life is worth living, any challenge is overcomeable. I've been there through a chemical regimen. Regained everything, life became worth living again, felt like I could drop a few segments of the protocol. Fast forward a few months, lost every thing after dropping just one part of the regimen. Depressed as hell again, want to live like a recluse in a cave. Hard to keep the negative thoughts away. All of a sudden not everything can be overcome. Thankfully being back on the routine for 4 months I've starting to get back to where I was, outlook is slowly becoming like it was.

You said you get side effects from fin. Fine. Cut the dose in half. You still get most of the benefits. What's for certain is, aside from the hairs you transplanted, you'll lose a lot more. Eventually you won't be able to cover the loss and it'll be an unnatural hairline, the transplant will be obvious. Just a plea for you to get on a low dose of fin, but I know you won't listen. I was told the same advice year after year from miscers, and eventually someone I really cared about at 21 - didn't listen until it was too late shortly after turning 25.
