Stocks are a JOKE at this point (SRS).

Tesla stock to the MOON up $100 in only a month but WHY ?

Who is going to be buying Tesla's $60-70-80-100k cars ?

-Airline industry is in the ****ter with airlines laying off 100 000s of people and airlines losing 5-6 billion every quarter
-Travel industry is complete ****
-Restaurants / Gyms are fighting not to go into bankruptcy due to corona many have already filed
-Journalis industry is going into ****, CNN is 150 billion in debt and ATT is trying to sell it. -Huffington post just got sold for peanuts to buzz feed
-15 million Americans are about to lose unemployment in December\
-Layoffs bankruptcies everywhere i look.
-Whole industries begging government for bailouts

BUT BUT BUT

STOCKS TO THE MOON.

I'm sitting on a little cash to invest and it seems foolish to put it in stocks right now. I feel like another big correction is looming.

On the other hand, I suppose vaccines could drag us out of this mess soon enough to avoid another crash. If Biden attempts to instigate a national lockdown before the vaccines can boost confidence, then we'll see a big sell off.

Another crash wouldn't surprise me, at the least a sharp correction. Any day now... the rich will just buy in near March lows and ride the rocket back up like they did the last 7 months.

This.

Also, just lol at the people complaining "Rich are getting richer".

Since clearly these people are so smart and know exactly what is going they should brag which stocks they own. Surely they are also getting rich, being so smart and hip to what is going on and all.

Between the previous stimulus, the vaccine, tons of people working remote (and companies realizing that this works), and another potential stimulus, the market will be fine as long as Biden doesn’t raise corporate income tax.

This is where I am. I cashed out before the election and now don't want to buy back into anything due to the multiple week long green/high % up days.

I cant decide if the vaccine will be the proverbial savior and its all up from here or if there will be another "only 2 more weeks" lockdown and we plummet again.

But Fuuuuukkkkkkk the FOMO is real.

Tesla is a massive diversified company that is advancing technology and solutions at an exponential rate. LMFAO if you think all they are is a car company.

Right, so I know more about Palantir than 99.9999% of the population.

I actually don’t care what it does for the next decade, but it’s the future.

I’d actually love for it to somehow pullback to $10 and stay there for 2 years.

Cope more.

Nah, food is the only thing that will see no inflation. Hunger is what causes people to actually change government.

Cheapest tesla is a ****ty Model 3 for about $40k out the door the thing looks like glorified honda civic and tbh thats ****ting on honda civic. Only tesla thats worth getting is model s and x imo.

40k out of the door is still alot of money for 95% of people in the USA. I know on misc everyone makes 100k+ a year but in real life people out there are making on average 30-40k a year. Why would they opt for a tesla when they can pick up a brand new toyota or honda for 25k something that is proven and reliable. Gas is cheap so no reason for electric cars to be in huge demand and they are not.

Stocks are indeed a joke. With Tesla, it's their upcoming shipping trucks that are creating buzz. That and finishing up a giant factory in Berlin.

TSLA is quickly becoming a meme for this reason lol. Congrats to those who bought it. I personally don't see the value in it, but I have family members and friends who are making bank off it so I am glad to see it go up.

Plus I do want to see them succeed since we very rarely get to see new car companies emerge and actually become successful.

You understand that stock prices are built upon potential in the future right? If you are looking at surface value of Car X vs Car Y and trying to justify the stock prices, then perhaps the market is not for you. Just invest in index funds and reap the benefits over 20-30 years and quit racking your brain on things you dont want to comprehend.

If you are interested/invested in the market and you feel TSLA is over priced (i can certainly see why you could believe so but you havent given any real evidence to show your basis) then what stock are you invested in and why?

Stocks are not a joke if you take advantage of dollar cost averaging. By investing the same amount monthly into the same stock funds, you buy more shares when the price goes down and fewer when the price goes up. I did it from 1993-2017 and built a 7-figure portfolio from 0. That 7-fig portfolio doubled from 2015-2020 with new dollars invested only through Nov. 2017.

Harder to do, but even more efficient is to buy the same number of shares on a consistent basis (weekly/monthly/quarterly) regardless of price.
A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. And that's why the USA is a constitutional republic and not a democracy.

LOL at people always saying the bubble is going to pop......its the equivalent and just as ridiculous as "2 more weeks"

Will the bubble pop? Yes, there is always ebbs and flows in the market. If "the bubble is going to pop" is your justification of not investing in the market right now and making good returns, then cool.....but please state your time horizon and why you think it will happen at XYZ timing. If not, of course it will pop some day. Its how you adjust that will separate the winners from the losers that play this game.
