What is your age & net worth as of 2020?
Just want to gauge whether im behind or on the right track from a pool of people that mostly have their stuff together.
23 and around $60k
$28k - Vanguard
$14k - 401k
$10k - Assets (Motorcycle, car, computers, "furniture"**, outdoor gear, etc.)
$6k - Work shares (hopefully I will get to keep...)
$2k - Savings
No debt aside from whatever is on my credit card balance
** "furniture" as in: $100 bed from amazon, standing desk, and an office chair that I stole from work.

OP, you're doing better than I was at that age. Your goal should be to max out your 401K contribution, and after that is accomplished, open a Roth IRA and work to max it out annually. Investment choices should be aggressive and don't sweat a market pullback or even crash. Any time you get a wage increase, use half of it to increase either your 401K percentage or add to your Roth if you're maxxed on the 401K.
If you can max both of these, then any additional dollars you have after meeting your financial obligations are yolo dollars.

53. If you look at the appraised value by the county tax assessor, I've got about half a million dollars in rental properties. I bought most of them as bank foreclosures, which is no way near their appraised value.

I went with a Traditional IRA since im in a higher tax bracket, and don't plan to spend more than $35-40k (while acknowledging inflation) when I retire. I will go for the Roth as well since am interested in this method called the "mega backdoor roth" that that could allow me to contribute an extra $37k a year.OP, you're doing better than I was at that age.
