I like Dave but he got his name out there w that show and as i understand it they had dedicated writers to come up with scetches for the show. Not to mention he got paid for it already so what is the problem?

Yeah it's hard to like him (or any celebrity for that matter) when they show themselves to be ignorant, but I can't really hold it against him for being misinformed, most adults are... celebrity or not. He just so happens to have more influence than the average misinformed dude on social media.

Dave got notoriety for his ability to understand humor and make people laugh, not for his ability to understand politics, current events and law enforcement/race relations or what ever. The reason most people are misinformed is because they look to influencers like Dave and other celebrities on how to think and what opinions they should hold, just like they look to them for what products to buy, clothes to wear, etc.

No one wants to think for themselves, it's much easier to adopt the common consensus for themselves because it's safe and they won't fall down the social ladder for "wrongthink". That's their comfort zone, and they'd rather shy away from the ugliness of reality and help to keep up the facade.

It is of no good measure to be well-adjusted to a profoundly sick society.

He didn't get screwed. He willingly SIGNED a contract, giving up his own rights to his show. I'm a huge fan of Dave, but don't be mad when you're the one who fukked up.

Dave says in the vid he didn't get paid when he left and im pretty sure Dave was the head writer and the "team" was just a few people. It's not like he was just sitting back and waiting for the writers to come up with sketches so he can perform them.

Lol. Cope. Dave is great and authentic. The only problem you have with it is that he doesn't support your view/bias, and so because he doesnt, you feel the need to diminish him and regard him as irrelevant.

Dave is real and speaks on life experiences..he has genuine authenticity to his words. He doesn't really politicize anything,he expresses his opinions based on personal experiences.

Meanwhile, you will gobble up every bit of garbage that political pundits spew out if their views/opinions align with your yours....people (news) that form their opinion STRICTLY to politicize and appease their audience.

Dave Chappelle is based...when he talked about George Floyd crying for his mother man that was hard to listen to. Really put it into perspective all the counter protestors to BLM and how inhuman they think Black folks in America are. So im just a little peasant and I pay 12 a month to watch netflix. The other day I was able to watch some of season 3 which netflix bought the streaming rights to.

Now its all pulled because $50 million networth dave chappelle got his feeling hurt. I cant watch the rest of it but they still charge me the same per month.

Point being, tv and music deals are structured to unfairly favor the tv and record companies. Now that Kanye and Dave have influence that reaches around the globe, their voice will be heard. Especially in Dave's case, Netflix likely doesn't want to damage any relation that may result in future content.
