Biden's nomination for Secretary of State sounds full of chit

In his speech yesterday he recounted how his stepfather escaped from Nazi's in Poland. It sounds like something from a really cringey made for TV movie, or like a ******** post some attention whore would make. Not doubting he survived the Holocaust or anything, but this is corny as fuk

"At the end of the war, he made a break from a death march into the woods in Bavaria. From his hiding place, he heard a deep rumbling sound. It was a tank. But instead of the iron cross, he saw painted on its side a five pointed white star," Blinken said.

"He ran to the tank. The hatch opened. An African-American GI looked down at him," Blinken continued.
"He got down on his knees and said the only three words he knew in English that his mother had taught him before the war. God bless America."

Yes, probably. But this sounds particularly far fetched, does it not.

-Being led on a death march by heavily armed guards
-Somehow manages to escape without getting shot
-Hides, but then all of a sudden a US tank arrives on the scene
-Tank is being operated by black dude, despite the only tank battalion to have black crew being the 761st Battalion, who as far as I'm aware were never deployed in Poland
-The child only had 3 words of English, and they happened to be "God Bless America". Surprised it wasn't "Black Lives Matter".
