Ontario brahs, you watching the COVID briefing right now?

Have it in my background while working,

Doug Ford has literally gone full commie dictator.

"You need to shut down your businesses, its irresponsible and you are killing people" - as if opening restaurants have been killing people

Him and the doctor keep side stepping the questions with "we need to be safe" it's actually infuriating

But it's actually funny to see him cope about the damning AG report which criticized him for not doing enough.

Some of the reporters are taking it to him too with the questions lol. He basically said you got the AG saying your govt didn't do a good job, and you got the anti-maskers/anti-lockdowners protesting your measures so nobody from either side is happy with your responses. Fukn lol. What a chitshow this is overall.

Also the brah who was keeping his restaurant open is getting mad media coverage. Good. Hopefully it will inspire others to do the same. Basically some police officers entered his restaurant just to say "Just to let you guys know you are breaking the lockdown orders and you COULD get fined, that is all" like they know it's BS. Lmao. I think the restaurant owner is getting fined though. But with the news media coverage and people coming to dine there I think he said he wants to start a 2nd location, and will keep that open too haha. Definitely a miscer. Also fukn lol @ our joke of a media.

I was cool with Doug in the begin but his side stepping over questions has becoming annoying. Its clear they mismanaged this after the first lockdown.

I med Doug a few times and talked with him. Seems like a cool guy. Being a conservative he has to avoid looking like the Trump of Ontario.

Not defending the man, but doing his best I suppose. Australia has like fifteen active cases right now, and they locked down solid for four months.

Seemed to work, as they are now back to living, but we have fukked around for so long that doing it now would cause a meltdown.

Don't envy his position right now.

Oh, and as I always end anything political: Fuk Trudeau and anyone who looks like him.

I don't blame Doug, he's doing what any other politician would do in that situation. If it was the Liberals in charge it would be worse. He has to take the flack for everything going on but I don't put it on him.

lol damned if you do and damned if he doesn't. It wouldn't matter who is in his position you would get chit on. Doug has kept it together pretty well considering all the liberals are begging for him to slip up so they can throw him under the bus and peg him as Rob 2.0 or Trump Jr. People should be more worried what our federal gov't is doing, which is fuk all since they are tryin to save face from all the scandals they've been through.

He's handling it well in my opinion given the circumstances. The only big reason cases are spiking are because all the religious idiots and brown population in brampton holding massive get togethers and weddings with no regard for covid. There's multiple neighborhoods with 25+% infection rates in Brampton.....you simply can't control stupid people by asking them to comply and you can't simply lock everything completely down or the municipalities would go completely broke or we run the deficits completely out of control to keep them all afloat which would require the federal gov't to actually help with.

I once had half a beer with his bro during the extended hours of st. Patrick's day. The family seems to be a sincere bunch compared to regular politicians.

And it's true what is mentioned above. Half the country will be angry at him either way. It's a tough spot. Next election there will be a new Wynn type back for the premier spot so it's best to take some of those liberal votes. Conservatives will vote him back in regardless of closures

The restaurant guy is right though. How is closing down the mom and pop shops but keeping all.the big box/corporate stores open going to help anything? It's a double standard. And anyone else find it interesting that the places they shut down were the types of places that people went to feel better. Places like bars, restaurants, gyms, barber shops, beauty salons etc... It's almost like the plan is to make people so miserable and destitute that we'll accept any morsel of perceived freedom our masters choose to so mercifully throw our way regardless of the cost.

Good point. I remember they shut down marinas in the spring as well but wouldn't you know it they changed their tune about that one before summer. Could it possibly be because all of these useless as shhit politicians get their summers off and they practically all own boats and cottages?

Haven't watched his daily campaign speeches in a while since they make me rage. It's like Ford won't be satisfied until Walmart and Costco are the only brick and mortar businesses left standing.

Williams was supposed to retire in February, but is now staying on until Sept. Big missed opportunity to inject some fresh thinking into this clown show. The AG report doesn't exactly reflect well on him, either. Then again, apparently they were considering Dr. Etches from Ottawa to replace him, so we may have dodged a bullet. At least she can communicate, but she's probably one of the biggest fear-mongers out there.
