PS5 for better exclusives. And nobody cares about Halo or Gears anymore.

If you have a gaming pc:PlayStation 5. Xbox Series X games are fully compatible with Windows 10 OS, since Microsoft owns both Windows 10 and Xbox.

If you have no gaming pc, and want the strongest system:Xbox Series X. It has a slightly stronger GPU, and in some games (not all) that are cross platform, it has a faster loading time than the PS5.

If you want the best "bang for your buck" in terms of hardware performance versus cost:PlayStation 5 Digital Edition. $400 can't be beat for a system as powerful as a PS5.

If you want the best exclusives:PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X.Previous gen we'd say PS5 hands down, but Microsoft is proving to take a stance on this by buying out Bethesda and probably other studios to come. Halo, Gears, Fallout/Elderscrolls Vs. God of War, SpiderMan, Uncharted. Note the Xbox "exclusives" will be cross plat with PC, which can make you lean towards PS5 tbh.

Take away: Don't buy the Xbox Series S. Xbox Series X is strongest system between all of these consoles and their variants. Xbox games are cross plat with PC, so if you have one don't get one. PS5 exclusives aren't cross plat with PC.

Side Notes: Play whatever your friends are playing at the end of the day (baring in mind Xbox/PC cross plat). PS5 has the more innovative and potentially impacting gaming controller experience.

This. Not aware of anything Microsoft is doing gaming-wise besides the fact that they just acquired Bethesda.

Digital edition will be more expensive in the long term. You can recoup your costs trading in discs and buying second hand games.

Get what your friends have but since this is a question your asking. i'm going to assume you have no friends or your friends don't really play video games.. going with no friends..

If your more of a single player guy.. PS5 has more titles for that.. Me i always choose the box.. majority of friends have it as well and i mainly play online multiplayer

Also better long term resale value.. not only cause the disc version has better specs but its the disc version, meaning you can sell it with the games you got...

Digital version.. your basically selling the system barebones.. since all your digital titles will be tied to your xbox live account and not the system

If you have PS4, get PS5. If you have an Xbox one then get the Series X.

Makes sense as the games will be backward compatible and save you money.
