Does anyone find it insane how much fake stuff girls wear?

I mean come on, fake eyelashes and fake nails? Then you have many women who paint their faces with makeup completely changing their appearance and its socially acceptable. But if a guy tries to up his looks somehow (manlet wearing lifts), they come off as insecure.

I've heard that women actually do that stuff more to gain the approval of other women than to attract men. Which makes sense to me, I've had way more women tell me to wear makeup than men... and the one man was not straight.

Always baffled me, too, though. If your whole appearance is a lie, how do I trust anything else? And I think society's emphasis on makeup, figure enhancing clothes, etcetera, is really damaging to women's self-esteem, too... but it always seems to be women, not men, who really push for it. I mean... see thread.

It's been this way for recorded history, though, so I suppose, yeah, ask your dates swimming.
