US, UK, Canada, New Zealand & Australia about to ban the use of cash. Prep angus

Inside tip.... they are starting by banning $100 notes. They are making a lottery system where they randomly select 0-9, and any $100 notes ending with that number are no longer legal tender. They are going to repeat that until all $100's are gone, then continuing the process until all cash is gone.

It's being made a crime to accept the notes with selected 0-9 serial numbers. So you won't be able to use it to buy anything, and everyone will hand the notes back to the bank because they will otherwise be useless.

Yeah they want to ban cash in Australia, first step is to get rid of large cash transactions but I think it didn't fly yet. They won't delete random notes on a lottery system though, they do that chit in Third World nations.

Nzer checking in. First I've heard of it. Cash is pretty rare in larger cities here though. Pay wave and EFTPOS are the main mode of payment now.

I truly dont see a world where cash in local currencies is upended.

There are millions of people in America without a bank account (perhaps largely undocumented workers, srs) these folks rely solely on cash and I have a hard time seeing liberals knowingly leaving those people out in the cold if they are also the same people pro-immigrant.
