Have you brahs ever ventured outside of the misc? The rest of the forum is a literal ghost town with barely any new posts.


Why even bother to keep them up at this point just make the whole site the misc.

The misc only gets about 16 new pages of threads per day too

I've only been on MISC for a couple of months and I have noticed a significant drop in just 2 months. I recall I would make a thread, and within 2 minutes of submitting, it would already be pushed to the 2nd page due to the sheer volume of activity.

The activity has dropped for sure.

I also recall when I first came on board I made a thread in the Over 35 section about a controversial diet and motherfcckers were repeatedly coming in talking sh|t. I asked them why not just ignore the thread, of course they didn't respond but we already knew the answer: the Over 35 section is dead.

Every sub-forum is dead.

Hell, pretty much all forums are dead not just bodybuilding.com.

Everyone has moved over to reddit, 4chan, youtube and instagram.

But unless you look good, you're not gonna get much interaction on youtube or instagram so you're basically stuck with 4chan and reddit.

Lo0kism is now the primary selecting factor in who gets to engage in discussion and who gets ignored.

Dude in 2010-2012 chit would be popping off. Good threads regularly got 50 plus pages and there were hilarious or troll threads like such almost every day.

If you made a thread and people didn’t reply fast enough it was on page 5 before you could blink.

Chit makes me sad, I wonder if everyone was just in college or highschool and grew up or if they truly did migrate to reddit. Where did all these brahs go?

Mods keep banning people and deleting threads and posts. This is happening to all the few remaining forums out there.

It's only a matter of time before MISC become boring as fcck and guys migrate elsewhere.

sports misc is dead (used to have huge game threads every week etc). now they had to condense the entire nfl season into one thread.

its been killed by r/nfl and r/nba, which i cannot stand to go to. reddit nba and nfl is soooo ****gy.

surprisingly the religion and politics forum is pretty lively (especially on election day).


but i suspect with trump and obama gone it will die. biden is too boring to talk about.

It's totally understandable why the non-misc forums would have died. None of them offered anything even remotely of value. Supp forum was 70% company reps and 30% losers sucking their dicks for freebies. Training and nutrition forums each had a small clique of dogmatic vigilantes angrily attacking any noob unlucky enough to ask a question.

Misc was the only place you could ever have an intelligent conversation.

Sounds about right, in the dying days of any forum you just have some dogmatic clique of degenerates running the forum, eventually the few remaining people leave and since they have nobody else to harass they get tired of themselves because they're boring and it's dead.

Sad thinking about this. These days I wouldn’t really consider looking up Misc for shop recommendations. But 8 years ago I remember thoroughly scouring this forum and seeing people’s recommendations all over the supp section
