PWC strikes again

"Hey you dog faced skanks, learn how to not look like a corpse on Zoom and also click here to see whose self-esteem is so low that they actually rsvp'd for this nonsense"

Seriously though, am I insane for thinking that look is out of touch and unprofessional and the message is a little repulsive?

Nothing will ever beat E&Y's "woman have pancake brains" seminar, though.

These skanks would do well to learn the power of a long necklace, decent lighting and not-beige blouses.

What are Deloitte and KPMG doing to share in this?

But what do you expect from a Big 4, they expect their employees to be polished and dress up due to the heavy client interactions.

Well McK is taking most of the heat right now and after the infamous PWC Shabooya making its rounds on the internet yet again, I think they're just delighted to not be in the news.

Polished and professional does not equal smoky eyes clown makeup, nor does it equate to well-being lol

Sure thing!

This is one my family requests me to make almost every Holiday - Chocolate Salted Caramel Pecan Pie

Spoiler!

1 ½ cups sugar

¾ cup butter, melted

⅓ cup all-purpose flour

⅓ cup 100% cacao unsweetened cocoa

1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

3 large eggs

1 cup toasted chopped pecans

1 (9-inch) unbaked deep-dish piecrust shell

Salted Caramel Topping

¾ cup sugar

1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

⅓ cup heavy cream

4 tablespoons butter

¼ teaspoon table salt

2 cups toasted pecan halves

½ teaspoon sea salt

Step 1
Prepare Filling: Preheat oven to 350°. Stir together first 6 ingredients in a large bowl. Add eggs, stirring until well blended. Fold in chopped pecans. Pour mixture into pie shell.

Step 2
Bake at 350° for 35 minutes. (Filling will be loose but will set as it cools.) Remove from oven to a wire rack.

Step 3
Prepare Topping: Bring 3/4 cup sugar, 1 Tbsp. lemon juice, and 1/4 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan over high heat. (Do not stir.) Boil, swirling occasionally after sugar begins to change color, 8 minutes or until dark amber. (Do not walk away from the pan, as the sugar could burn quickly once it begins to change color.) Remove from heat; add cream and 4 Tbsp. butter. Stir constantly until bubbling stops and butter is incorporated (about 1 minute). Stir in table salt.

Step 4
Arrange pecan halves on pie. Top with warm caramel. Cool 15 minutes; sprinkle with sea salt.

And a classic Buttermilk:

Spoiler!

1 (9-inch) Pie Crust Recipe, unbaked

3 eggs

1 1/4 cups granulated sugar

2 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/2 cup butter melted

1 cup buttermilk

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 tablespoon lemon juice

1 tablespoon lemon zest

pinch of salt

Preheat oven to 350º F.

Mix together eggs, granulated sugar, flour, butter, buttermilk, vanilla, lemon juice, lemon zest, and salt until well-combined. Pour into the unbaked pie crust and bake for 45-50 minutes until set and golden brown.

Remove from the oven and allow to cool prior to slicing.

Pro-Tip: Trader Joe's makes the GOAT frozen pie crusts. You can make your own but I've tried many recipes and think TJ does it best.

Yeah.

Srsly tho, I don't think that stock photo is supposed to be representative of what they expect workers' makeup to be. The ad's plastered in emojis, I don't think it's too serious. Probably made by some dumb intern/hr person.

I don't really see the big deal with holding a seminar on makeup help either. I'd appreciate seminars on tips for how to dress better as a male, especially if I'm in a company that is pretty uppity about that.

To me, the one real off-putting thing is their billing of this as part of health and wellness. Seems like quite a stretch, but eh, it's corporate America and a company that seems to have a reputation for this silliness.

McK might be taking heat in the media, but I wouldn’t be surprised if they had already thought about this risk and decided that it would actually be good for business - plenty of companies out there that would be happy to work with a consultant that they know will consider all options to solve a problem (incl. the unethical ones).

The wellness branding is incredible, LOL. I view a proposed seminar on professional dress (which is an onboarding requirement and completely necessary) as quite different than makeup. PD on appropriate work attire feels different than teaching people that how they exist isn't quite good enough. If there's any year to let humans be humans, this would be the year.

Oh totally, of course they did. Somewhere, some exec is going "damn they’re good, get them on the phone".
