So I sold my old Silverado last march and Ive gotten 3 citations and parking tickets already. I already mailed out the bill of sale and transferred the title to the new owner.

Has this ever happened to anyone? This is in CA by the way and pretty pissed off that they keep mailing me parking tickets on a vehicle that is no longer mine. I already mailed to 2 of them and the 3rd one I mailed to already but they just sent me another letter threatening to put me on collections if I don't pay? WTF??

Should I go to the DMV and report this? DMV never sent me a renewal for the old vehicle so I assumed the information is already under the new owner?

I had this happen. I traded my old car into a dealership. Then 9 months later I get 4-5 parking tickets. I called the DMV and told them I have the paperwork showing the date the car was traded in. It was 20 years ago, but I think they had me fill out a form and send it in with copies of the paperwork.
Have you gone down to the actual DMV?

They might be slow as hell updating info if it was a recent sale.

OP this is because the Department of Motor Vehicles (who update the ownership information) and the municipal police department (who are issuing the citations) are both bureaucratic hellscapes. Your hard copy deed of sale is probably rotting in a manila folder somewhere and will be attended to at some point, but all these coping government agencies are shut down or on furlough right now to save lives (bigot).

You will have complete legal recourse to challenge these, but it's still probably a good idea to go talk to a human, so there is evidence that you did due diligence and the government of CA doesn't tried to bend you over the barrel on it.

You gotta go to the DMV and get a form and fill it out in front of a notary and have them notarize it or whatever and declare the vehicle is not yours anymore.

Or you could call the cops and claim you never sold the vehicle and the person wont give it back. Person goes to jail for gand theft auto, you keep their money, you get your truck back and sell it again.
