Approached girl at the gym for the first time ever (srs)

The gym is the only place where I pretend I’m gay and focus on only dudes (Inb4 avi). Lost my hole to fill tonight though so got the urge and couldn’t help myself

A girl who I see often was there today, have seen her before mask rules were enforced and she’s my type (cute brunette). Just approached her the same way I typically would anywhere else, asked for the # but she said she’d give me her sc/ig instead even after I told her I’d much prefer #. This has happened a couple times years ago when I was single but they always ended up giving me their #.

Is this common for gym chicks to do? I haven’t posted on ig in like 10 months and I have more followers than her just lol. Feel like I got cucked and will not dm her and may even just unfollow (srs)

Idk brah. Whenever I’m single which I technically am now, whenever I see a girl who’s my type it’s hard not to approach them. Probably why I’m never single for long. When I’m dating someone though it’s the complete opposite

If you had never talked before even after going to the same gym for a long time, then you one day suddenly coming up to get her number, yeah thats weird as fuk. If she gave you signs to approach, she would have given you a number.

The needing a hole to fill was I’d be seeing an fwb tonight but I ruined that business partnership yesterday (srs)

But yeah I’ve seen her consistently for a couple months, have both made excessive eye contact and checked each other out which is about all the signs I think I’d get at the gym especially when I’m focused.

It’s why I was very surprised she didn’t outright give me her # though, that’s never happened before which is why I figured it’d be a thing specifically for girls at the gym since they’re more social media obsessed and get hit on a lot.

Low inhibition for sure but I’d like to think I don’t lack self awareness lol

Nah no smiles, no autist but that’s because in the gym I’m way too focused which is why I’ve never approached before. There are 16 power racks at my Uni gym and she usually lifts at one adjacent to me if I’m there first. The excessive eye contact and checking out is undeniable though, it’s why I knew I’d get her # 100%, well in this case ig lol.

Yeah I could see that happening, part of the reason why I just keep to myself at the gym and take any obvious attention signs from girls as an ego boost if anything.
