So my best friend from childhoods son is

14. Just turned 14.hes a beast. He is 6'5 300 lbs.

His dad dont know **** about health or fitness etx etc and he gives the kid soy protien

On top of that he doesnt make him work out. As far as im concerned hes robbing this kid of a future in athletica. Makes me sixk but when i mention it he goes off and just hangs up the phone

I was 240 at 6'6 in my teens. If he's 300 and the weight isn't a lot muscle I feel bad for him. I found it was hard to do chit that kids should be doing running, climbing, ect.
Too bad about the soy also.
Now would be the perfect time for him to work on his diet and start lifting.

No. Bro im being dead seriius about it. He plays football ans he does well now cause he towers over the kids in his age range. But the boy cant even do 20 push ups. When je gets in high school woth kids even half his size but double his strength hes going to get train wrecked and embarassed cause of th expectations ppl will have of him.

Im only mentioning it cause i care. This guys been my best friend since i was 9 years old but his son needs a drill sgt some of the tome and not just.a father 1pp% of the time.

Gods blessed this kid with all the gifts and theu are being chit down the toilet and i hate seeing it. Cause its not like he doesnt want to play. He says he wants to be a pro player. Yet his dad wont get it in his mind hes going tk have to start working out and super hard. Or its all going to be wasted

Assumedly OP is close enough with the dad that he cares for this *******'s future.

100% honest opinion: just tell the dad his son isn't gonna make it if he doesn't take radical physical action. Even then he probably won't make it NFL-wise but it will instill the work ethic that athletes have which helps them succeed in life even when they aren't playing sports.

Be the cool uncle who shows the kid how to hit the gym and gets him over the early hurdles.

Ive tried bro more than once. You know how some ppl get angry when you offer them advice even good advice well tjats him. I mentioned getting him off the soy crap he got mad. I mentioned making him statt small by doing 5 or 10 push ups at night before bed and some abb work. He gets pissed and says the same thing aome orher miscers in this thread said.
