Do you ever blow off people who ask you favors?
I find people always ask for favors and then they expect it done on their time . One of many examples today:
- sister asked if she could come over and wash her dog at my condo building ( it has a special room for washing pets ) and always asking for drives to the mall ( since she has no car yet)
- brb today have to work until 5 pm( long hours everyday)...and then I have to run a few errands and hit the gym..so I'll I probably won't return until like 7 -8 .
And then do i really want to spend my 3-4 hours of down time catering to someone else's pet ? Before I have to do my long and boring job all over again Gotta pick her up, bring her in and then return etc
Do you ever feel like just blowing ppl off? Like what have YOU done for me lately?
Sorry if its a petty example but you get it
And yes ill probably end up doing this...
Also her bf is unemployed af and has a car..get him to wash the dog somewhere jesus

Depends on the person, and the favor. If it's someone constantly asking me for things, without reciprocating I'll usually blow them off.

If I say I’ll do something I follow through but sometimes reschedule or just say I can’t do it if it’s too much at that time.

Depends on who it is and what they want to be honest...
There are a few people that I will drop everything to lend a hand to regardless of what it is or when...But they are people who have been there for me time and time again.

I get that you're old , bored ,and probably evidently a loser / socially inept... but atleast find a post you can get an actual answer to
Not troll someone's choice of words like a 9 year old in a classroom would.
Thanks for reading

Learning to say no to people is such a good life skill to learn - there is a big difference between blowing someone off and saying no.
The example you gave of your sister I would tell her not during the week, if you want to tell her she can do it over the weekend. And you leave it at that, you don't have to explain why you won't do what she asked - people are not entitled to why you are saying no, we are just conditioned to expect an excuse when people don't agree.

I very, very rarely ask for favor's, few people ask me for them in return but I do return them.
I'm doing it all myself.

I tell them that they have to pay for it, and if they dont I blow them off
Its not even about the money its about the principles of not allowing yourself to be taken for granted, I grew up as a major nice guy and was always taken for granted and disrespected by people
everything always has to be so ****ing transactional by the way, Im fed up with human beings and they are all just a bunch of sociopaths
