This is the worst trailer I have ever seen.

Resident Evil is probably my favorite series, but tf is Capcom thinking.

Imagine if you were a black girl who never was into video games.

If you saw a trailer with 100% gameplay, you would block it out and ignore the commercial.

Seeing someone like yourself doing something you wouldn't normally do, might be intriguing. The viewer might be curious about it.

That's what they're trying to do. This is aggravating to watch as someone who is already interested and familiar with horror games - but they're probably banking on them buying the game regardless.

Might not be the worst commercial in that regard.

Does advertising even matter for normal pop? I know the razor company got some losses when they went woke, but in general when I see an advert I go out of my way NOT to buy their chit. I've got ad block as well.

That may be true, but she admits she doesn't like horror movies or horror vidya games and she hardly plays vidya iirc. So their target market is blat women who don't like horror video games but maybe might play a video game for the novelty I suppose?

They're casting a real wide net.

horrible marketing but can't wait for the game. I loved 7, after being horribly disappointed with 5 and skipping 6.
