Got back to together with an ex. What could possibly go wrong? (Srs)

Feels like honeymoon phase on a lethal dose of cell tech so far (srs)

Saw her a month ago after over a year and my thoughts were I can do much better I’m way better looking than her, now I’m like wtf she is beautiful what was I thinking (my mind is retard srs)

She came over last night and we fukked 3 times including in the morning, she left some makeup chit at my place so used that as an excuse to meet up for lunch, then she invited me over to hers tn

Feels like it’s new again even though I know just about everything about her (we dated for 2yrs) but it also feels like we never broke up and are now making up lost time

(I am NOT advocating for getting back together with an ex, my situation is different srs)

Could be genuine OP, who knows? You might have the real deal there. She may have never really got over you and everything is fairly land. Could be the mother of your kids after she chits a few out. Of course there are plenty of negative ideas the Misc. will be more than happy to enlighten you on like just how many miles of dik she got through in your breakup time. The way I read your post, you seem happy about this and really want something to come of it but are worried about getting burned.

My question is, if you lock yourself up in a prison to protect yourself from the world, you will never experience the world so which is worse?

Yeah I can’t relate to miscers who think it’s black and white every girl is 100% a sloot. I hope it works long term, obviously way too soon to tell, but I already dated her for 2 years and had no potential long term issues apart from my own issues at the time.

Yeah my thoughts were I’d regret not trying to make it work much moreso than just not trying. I have a lot of female friends, met hundreds etc and have never had more chemistry with someone

Had this conversation a month ago when we met up for the first time. She’s been with 1, someone she was dating when we got back in touch and broke up with him.

I’ve been with 4, but she only knows of 3 as the 4th was very recent

The Misc. is basically the "locker room talk" where people are always talking chit to each other and it often times mirrors real life in a minor way but is grossly inflated and outlandish. Give it a chance IMO. You seem like you are looking for a reason to be talked out of it but really want to make it work. So make it work.

This all but assuredly won’t end well and you’ll probably be broken up with again within a year or maybe just a tad longer.

That breakup will never leave either of your minds. It will never be the first time honeymoon phase where you’re totally freshly newly in love. This is just comfort and going BACK to something that has the potential to work and somebody you both like. Nobody would ever break up with the love of their life just to prove a point or make them do something. Clearly one of you isn’t the love of the other’s life. Enjoy some fun comfortable sex for the time being though.

Unless she’s batchit crazy, the worst thing that can happen is you break-up again or she cheats on you. But that can happen in literally any relationship. Maybe one could argue the chances (of a break-up) are higher in this case, but that’s just semantics.

Every relationship, at the end of the day, is either you stay together for x amount of time and break up because of y, or you find the one and you stay together until one of you dies. And guess which one is more likely?

There’s no point worrying about chit like this.

basically had undiagnosed bpd when we dated which got worse throughout and pushed her away enough.

was in therapy for months after we broke up and dated another girl for a few months with no issues so as confident as i can be really. back in therapy now as well.

i remember thinking pretty much everything you said made sense but im stubborn af and couldnt see myself just cutting her off completely.

honesty though, when i was thinking of trying to make being friends work the point you made about future gf's not being happy with a guy who stays friends with an ex made me realize i wasnt thinking straight and that wasnt a real option. so here i am dating her instead (not saying that like its a bad thing lol)
