I think they are the best medium/ large dog out there.
They are beautiful with very thick bodies and a very heavy double coat. They are a stunning dog, but are lazy as Fock.
Cheers

Neighbor had one growing up. They have long lifespans for a decent sized dog. And great temperaments.

This site has them around $3k as well but it looks like the posts are outdated.

Hope you don’t have carpet in your house lol. I can’t stand long haired dogs, not because I don’t like them, but because they shed like crazy. Plus the extra maintenance with grooming. My dog is a short haired dog, all I need to do is have his nails trimmed.

I really want a Samoyed because they are hypoallergenic and I am allergic to dogs and they were by far the best looking one.
I've read that they can be quite stubborn though, but they are absolutely beautiful.

That's on top of investing in a robot vacuum and a shark. The shedding is awful even with regular brushing

so fluffy!
however my teenage bestie had one and SO MUCH HAIR...like clumps and drifts and mats, oh my. also never seemed to be house trained. that part could be on the owners, but some breeds are easier than others.
know that when i comment about the hair i grew up w/a german shepherd, a few golden retrievers, and some spaniels

I had a Samoyed / Irish Setter mix as a kid. They are fantastic dogs.
If you want something fluffy and friendly though, I'd still recommend a Caucasian Shepherd.

i imagine the shedding has to be wild.
i used to have a chow/husky mix. during shedding season we would brush her frequently. at times you would see hair floating around the back yard. sht gets wild

I've been to a Samoyed breeder's house where I did an air duct cleaning.
Everyone has already warned you ITT. lol @ the hair. Imagine taking a bite of food sitting at a table and a random hair lands on your tongue when you open your mouth.

My family had one when I was a little kid (birth - 5yrs)
I don't know much about the upkeep, my parents did that obviously but I do know it was great with children ie me. Gorgeous to look at, softest fur and wonderful temperament.

Beautiful dog. I may be wrong but it looks like you'd really need to upkeep that grooming.

My dad had one. Sweetest doggo ever. Lots of hair! And at the time they lived in an area it got super hot in summer. So they shaved his coat on the short side so he didn’t die of heat stroke when he went outside.
