It's not the price. It's how much it's gone up in a short period of time. Blame China...srs. The average rent in my small city went from around 700 per month to over 1200 in 2.5 years.

Every major city is seeing it in Canada. My place could rent for $400 a month more than two years ago, hoping my landlords don't decide to sell the place.
