lucky. i'm here in hawaii and there arent any surgeons i would trust. closest to me would be in the bay area but they cost a chunk of change. based on my NW scale and price per graft, i'm looking at 15-20k.

There are payment options depending on the clinic you go to. They offered me monthly payments with zero interest if you pay it off in 2 years. Or you can make it a 6 year monthly payment at about 9% interest. I put several thousand down to lessen my monthly payments and gonna clamp down on my spending the next two years and have it all paid off.

I'm just hitting a NW2 or so. Started about 27, I'm 32 now.

Contemplating a HT, would probably need 500-700 grafts, if that. Just want to fill in my temple region a bit. Went in when I was 30 and talked to them and they basically said I have no need for it, and they wouldn't really consider doing it on me. I think the last 2 years I've lost a bit that has got me to an actual NW2 and so going in February to see if I'm a candidate yet lol.

Thinking hair is the reason you cant attract women is a cope and a crutch for other reasons you probably arent attracting women.

Thank you.

Too many people pretend like they give zero fuks about what other people think of them. Those kind of people who actually think that way are RARE. Although with the obesity problem in this country, perhaps maybe I’m wrong.

I want to look good for myself. I want to look good for girls as well. It can be both. Nothing wrong with being brutally honest about that.

My bald spot on the crown is like 2.5-3 inches in diameter and the Toppik hair building fibers work pretty good at covering it up. The thing is, you can’t really do that with the hairline/temples. You need hair on the perimeters to “sandwich” the Toppik hair building fibers in. If I tried to put those fibers on the frontal hairline, it would just look like I spray painted my scalp. (“You spray painted the cat’s tail to make him look like Jynx, didn’t you, Focker?”). Lol.

I had FUE done in February 2020 ... It is STILL growing in.

Best of luck with everything. Mine was 2600 grafts and 12K IIRC. Was a long and painful day on my end. The hair has been picking up in growth in the last couple of months though.

I was also using a hair system prior to this lolz.

Not really. 3500 grafts via FUT will cover my hairline, the crown, and even areas in between.

He got the FUT strip method I’m getting but I think that was at least a decade ago. Don’t know how many grafts he had done or why he didn’t do a second transplant.

So you're getting a hair transplant but you won't take finasteride?

What will you do when you continue to lose the hair behind your transplanted hairline? You understand that getting a hair transplant does not stop the balding process/norwood progression right?

It may be (I dont know) but the rest of the non-transplanted hair is not. So you would have a transplanted hairline, and then may continue to lose the hair that is behind the follicles that have been transplanted. Which would look even worse than a Norwood/normal balding.
