I'm 23 and only have 1 friend?

Lost my best friend and friend circle so I'm on forums now

Such a weird stage in life

graduate uni in like a year

might get a good internship next year

Live with parents rn, have enough money and good enough credit score to hopefully buy a house within the next year instead of renting

havent been laid since july 4th

kinda lonely

This is my main fear. Had a social circle and met and banged some girls due to that social circle. Now its gone. Have one good friend left. I miss just hanging out with my bros, and I am worried it will be difficult to meet girls without a social circle. Sure I might be able to get laid but keeping a girl long term I feel is harder without at least some friends

I would like to be able to meet new friends though, that would solve my problem. Easier said than done it seems.

Definitely grateful to have one friend who I consider a real friend I can trust, couldn't care less about fake friends or friendly acquaintances at this point. Losing my best friend of 16 years sucks though, he was someone who I considered like a brother, but I really fukked it up.

Always had a social circle all my life so its weird now that I don't. Just hoping to meet some friends in the near future I can hang out with. It's weird because years ago I used to worry about getting girls, but now that isn't a concern of mine, I just want some brahs to chill with lol, girls come and go

family life is eh, few cousins I rarely see and 0 siblings, single child

i wont ask what you did, but you should forgive yourself. you sound like you have a solid head on your shoulders and a sound mind.

i would recommend that you learn how to enjoy your own company. enjoy being alone and love yourself. if you love yourself people will flock to you. it's tough to meet people with society's current climate but the forums are a great place to socialize. if you stick around you will meet lots of cool people here.

you will meet people at your internship and your eventual job. you are very young my man. you got this.

Most people don't have friends and the ones they do are usually through work.

Start a job and make friends that way by going out for after work drinks, lunches etc..

untrue. My small circle of friends were guys I worked with.

Truth is OP... it's hard to find a group of, 'call at 3AM in need of help', and they are there with no questions asked. I'd say most family members wouldn't even be there aside from your parents or siblings.

there's a difference between acquaintances and friends. I'd rather have four quarters than a hundred pennies. You seem to be confusing the two... because chances these people would fuk you over in a heartbeat if it meant even the slightest advancement for them. Chances are if you needed help, they would be no where to be found.

Quality over quantity. Having some casual friends from work or some social setting your frequent is nice, but having a close friend you can count/rely on when times are tough is much nicer. Find the people in your life you care about and let it be known you care about them. Be a good friend and person and things will play out. This isn't high school and being mr. popular really doesn't matter.
