Why is Pizza with dipping sauce even a thing?

I can see some red pepper flakes, or some parm, but dunking your glorious slice into ranch, or garlic dipping sauce? That's not it.

And if you put hot sauce on your pizza you're a degenerate.

It's cope for chit tier pizza. Never use it when the pizza is actually good.

In Canada we have this chain store called Pizza Pizza, their pizza is absolute horse chit but they have a nice creamy garlic dip and when you pair up the two it's very passable for 1 am, drunken, pizza craving.

I dip my crusts in quality olive oil though

edit: I've seen people eat pizza with ketchup or mayo, sometimes both. Absolutely pissening

Men are more likely to buy fast food when there's a dipping sauce. Seriously, I was on a project on that years ago for a fast food pizza chain and it blew my mind.

It's true about the price but that isn't an issue for me anymore and I usually make my own pizza these days, which comes down even cheaper.

Though, not many other pizza spots you can walk in at 1 am and walk out with a 16'' + 2 creamy garlic dips, for 12$. I have some good memories related to their pizza
