For starters, how can you classify a percentage on "pleasure lost"? Scientifically, you couldn't really come to that conclusion, it'd be near impossible to disclose the amount of pleasure you "miss out on." And the truth is, you don't miss out on pleasure.
Secondly, you falsely attribute the penis to masculinity. While it is true thathaving a penismakes you a man, we tend to attribute masculinity to things like larger penises, etc. This is a mostly incorrect assumption, that the potency of a male is determined by the length, girth, size, shape, or aesthetic of his penis. I joked before about "cheesecels", sure, but it's not indicative of my exact beliefs on the manner to say you're lesser or greater because of what your Johnson looks like.
My point is that almost zero of this thread has been a discussion about anything other than trying to convince one side that their dink is somehow inferior. If you're going to come out and tell me "My dad XYZ, and he did it because he loved me", I can tell you that almost anybody who was circumcised will literally say the same thing. Their dad did it because their dad loved them. Basically, that's not an argument about anything, really. Your dad clearly loved you and that's why he proceeded the way he did. Because he thought it was best for you. No dad turned around and said "Let me fuk my child up" (unless they did, in which case, sorry).
And that's exactly where the issue lies; one side believes that what they have is superior over the other's. You would be very hard pressed to have a real conversation about this until both sides seperate the physical manifestation of the penis from the metaphorical representation of it.
Men need to stop playing keeping up with the Johnsons with their Johnsons. It will only further indicate the level to which we are enslaved to our own penises.

Why, instead of attacking an obvious chit post like a clown don't you write me an equally detailed response to my actual position that you obviously know by now:
"performing permanent, extremely painful surgery to newborn males who cannot consent to the act and are otherwise at no risk of health consequences is immoral. It is a massive violation of their bodily autonomy"
You previously came in the thread troll with one liners about cheesedinks but then write an essay to a chit post lmao strong everything. Address my stance or gtfo.

It does not affect society in an impactful enough way. It does not impact me in a strong enough way, and I've had my dick snipped.
You asked me to give you a serious response, don't balk when you get it.
Since you guys feel so strongly about it, I would like to see you do something impactful and meaningful about it. Let's start by donating to research foundations and/or causes that are in relation to anti-circumcision. I would like to see any of you who have such strong opinions represent your cause to the degree that you seem to ITT.
I'd be willing to change my mind if I could see that this wasn't more than just a meme for attention on the misc and you guys were genuinely serious about the impact it would have on society.
I would match one donation up to $50.

In this thread alone, some guys said they won't mutilate their kids although mutilated themselves. Making a strong argument on social media is worth 100 times more than donating to obscure organizations.

I don't think you can say something like "Think of the babies who are senselessly harmed" and then balk at the thought of putting $50 to that cause.
If the issue is that important, and that significant, a $50 dollar donation isnothing.
In addition to that, I'd match the first donation up to $50. So your donation is instantly worth more than what it originally was. There is no reason why you would refuse if this cause was of such great importance.

The only issue anyone has with genital mutilation is when it happens without consent, e.g. performed on an infant.
Mutilate your dick all you want as an adult. Strangely enough, it rarely happens.

And to play the severity card and point to children, babies, to such an extent, should mean that you wouldn't have much hesitation to make that impact. Especially if you'd change one person's mind, and he'd match that donation.1. We all contribute in our own ways.

2. I believe that it's some measure of it. How about volunteering for an organization instead? Spending your time in the thick of the organization and/or volunteering for the local chapter's events? Surely, some measure of involvement beyond just words beyond the screen should be indicative of the sincerity. I can tell you anything I want about how I think it's so bad that there are people without food in this world, and probably mean it. But if I am not actively making some difference, the issue is of less concern to me than I represent it to be.
So with that said, if you volunteer for a cause related to this, I will match those hours in return.
3. I think it's fair we can agree this is the main point of contention.

Typical "well if you don't do a bajillion things about it like donating your life's savings, organizing protests, getting into politics and defending this principle with your life it obviously means you don't care. Prove to me that you do"First of all, you don't know what we do. Secondly, no one needs to prove chit to you. Thirdly, these debates raise awareness, by virtue of that alone we are doing some part. I could be doing anything else right now but I'm educating you people. That's good enough.
I'd be willing to change my mind if I could see that this wasn't more than just a meme for attention on the misc and you guys were genuinely serious about the impact it would have on society.
The arguments should speak for themselves. If that isn't enough to get you to logically follow and make sense of it, and you have the audacity to demand proof of donations (lol) then I have to seriously question your willingness to change your mind.Do onto others as you would have them do onto you. It doesn't have to be a foreskin. It could be a nose, or an eyelid, or a toe, or a flap of skin from anywhere on your body. No one should have the right to infringe in your bodily autonomy, especially if you're a defenseless child who cannot say no or physically defend yourself. I don't give a fuk if it's circumcision or removing an ass cheek, my answer would be the same and my views are consistent, unlike yours.

You can change your fukin mind. I refuse to believe that any intelligent man would ever spend more than an hour researching about circumcision and at the end be like "yeah im totally doing this to my kid, seems ideal".
There's just no way
"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

-Massive physical pain and permanent loss in sexual function done to millions of babies every year
- Has insignificant impact on society.
Pick one.
If everyone in this world cared only about the things that directly impacted them, we would be living in a pretty awful world. I'm surprised you of all people would make such a statement.

Not sure what you have to lose.
You can talk all you want about helpless babies, but I was one of those once and here I am functioning normally. By very nature of that, your argument re: loss of function is mostly moot. If you're talking about full and total loss of sexual function, we're on a different page. But that's not at all what happens.
The amount of sexual function impacted is negligible at best, in favor of a significant amount of medical benefits.
My point is that if you want to argue re: the helpless children you have to recognize that there are medical benefits associated to it. And if a parent decides those benefits outweigh the negatives they can decide to perform circumcision.

The point I'm trying to make is that if it'sthatimportant, and all you'd have to do to change my mind is show me that it isthatimportant... Isn't that the easiest $50 you'll ever spend? I don't think thatjust talkingabout an issue is enough. Anybody can talk about an issue, that's not much of a contribution if the conversation is already occurring. And to play the severity card and point to children, babies, to such an extent, should mean that you wouldn't have much hesitation to make that impact. Especially if you'd change one person's mind, and he'd match that donation.

You are correct in the sense that it is not the most important issue for me, but that is mostly because I do not live in a society where it is common practice. I still contribute my opinion whenever I feel it makes sense, both online and IRL.

ask them why they did it and the answer in 99% of cases is gonna be either "that's just how it's always been done" or "meh religion"
thankfully I live in a country where the norm is not cutting baby dicks but I honestly look at the practice in disbelief that in certain countries/religions they don't even see what's so fukked up about it

I agree, and that is the point I have been trying to make. The issue is not nearly as important as many people here are trying to play it as. It's not nearly as damaging as has been suggested, and not nearly as morally corrupt as it is being framed as.

Then you go on to say there's a whole ton of medical benefits from circumcision..this is absolutely untrue. The penis glans is a mucus membrane, much like the inside of your nose, around eyes, inside mouth etc, and are meant to stay protected and moist. The foreskin serves that function. Your dink head is not meant to be hard and calloused rubbing against clothes 24/7. If I pull mine back and try that, within 2 mins it's so painful rubbing against my briefs I have to stop. The only reason it doesn't irritate the chit out of you is because your dink head skin has become calloused and desensitized. The foreskin also has a ton of nerves and veins running along the top. My evidence of this is that if a tongue touches this I get a chit ton of tingles up my spine. It's not a dead flap of skin, it feels as sensitive as the head itself. I can also see the big juicy veins. Removing that is clearly removing sensitivity.
Billions of years of evolution gave you, and every other male land mammal a foreskin for a reason brah.
Finally let me use your personal anecdote against you. I'm uncircumcised, have a healthy clean weiner and I turned out just fine.

There is simply no logical argument in favor of mutilating a baby's penis. It was done for religious reasons and it is continued today because copers have convinced themselves that removing the thing that protects your glans is.. a good thing?
They have gobbled down the propaganda and brainwashing about how the natty phallus is full of cheese and smells horrible and sloots don't like it (fkin lmao @ caring). None of this is even true. America is the outlier. It's not a normal thing anywhere else in the world that I'm aware of (outside of religious reasons).
America needs to wake up and stop maiming their sons for no reason.
