Thanks man. Yea all those dots are obviously hair grafts. They each can have 1-4 hairs coming outta them. They covered a much larger surface area than if I stuck with FUE but I’m glad I switched over to FUT. I’ll get pics of the strip in the back of my head but you can’t even see it unless I held the hair up with a comb. Signed the contract for 3000 grafts and they got me about an extra 150 grafts free of charge. Won’t see full results until about a good year. The first hair cycle will shed in a couple months and then start coming in real nice and thick. The fact that I added PRP to the transplant will only help them grow in better.

Ive been trough that (except it was FUE), and the next few months are going to be anxious as fuk for you bro lol, but it will turn out right. Also you can do some SMP on the scar to cover it up anyway.

Starts hurting again once the Vicodin wears off but I’ll live.

I highly recommend it. I’m at the point where it’s itchy as fuk right now and I’m using lots of ice, bacitracin, and vicodin. Scalp hurts when I laugh too hard. But it’s all worth it.

Day two of post-transplant surgery recovery. Pain is subsiding a lot but the itchiness is quite bothersome. Have to spray this moisturize every 1-2 hours which helps with the itchiness. But I’m really glad I added the PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) to my transplant so the grafts can grow in really nice and strong and thicken both the new grafts and natural hair that’s still growing. Still hurts when I laugh too hard so comedies are out. Running low on the 8 pills of Vicodin they gave me and moving onto the weaker ibuprofin soon. But so far so good. I’m doing everything by the book for post-operative care.

You should have shaved your head.

I was just standing by a guy the other day and you could see his thin patches of transplanted hair, but all the rest had gone bald.

You are young and have no idea how much more balding there will be, so it's a set up.

You will be ten times more embarrassed to have "weird" transplant patches, after you continue to go bald.

There is zero reason to get a transplant in today's culture.

when/if i start losing hair to a noticeable degree, i will for sure get a HT.


like anythign else though, id recommend thorough research into the procedure itself but also the doctor you intend on visiting.

Geniunely curious, but how many treatments are required for this after it's done? Is it something you do every 10 years?

OP (or Syrk), how much does this treatment cost?

This is true. The transplanted grafts/hairs they took from a strip of skin in the back will never fall out if they’ve successfully grown in. They are completely resistant to DHT just like all of the hair on the back and sides of your hair is.

The only way I could see loss of the transplanted hair is through chemo therapy or extreme malnourishment. But for the most part they are there to stay. And since they put 3150 grafts from the front of my hairline to the back, they pretty much covered the entire area so I might not ever need another transplant. And if I do, it’ll be a significantly smaller one.

Congrats OP. I had a 2500 graft FUT in 2017. Restored a non existent hairline. Had to heavily use fibers all over though. I'm very glad I got it.

I have been dermaneedling weekly and using minoxidil like a madman the past 4 months, and I'm almost at a point where I don't need fibers anymore. Even the corners, which had no hair, are starting to fill in.

Nicely done brah. I’m gonna keep up with the PRP injections several times a year if I can for hair thickness and better progress with the transplanted grafts. The studies show it works even better than minoxidil. But I’m gonna be using the minoxidil as well as eventually buying the Low Level Laser Light Therapy cap for like $1000 dollars. Use that for 30 minutes three times a week and I’m gonna be sittin comfortably for a long time I think.

Day 4 post-surgery and I’m feeling great. Almost finished with the small round of Vicodin but won’t need it after this. Never been one to get hooked on opiate-derivatives.

Anyways just cleaning it very gently with a special conditioning shampoo. The PRP injections are definitely gonna help the grafts grow in thick and strong. Only 2-4 more days of sleeping mostly upright in a lazy boy chair and I can go back to normal with basically everything.

The skin/scalp tightness was pretty bad the first couple days but went away. The scar is so damn tiny/thin even though it goes ear to ear. I can’t cut or buzz my hair just yet but I’m at a #3 currently on the sides and the back but I know I could get away with a #2 buzzer without anyone seeing a scar.

So far a 10/10 post op experience.

There’s before/after pics when it comes to the surgery, lol. First hair cycle will grow in a month or two, then shed, then each hair cycle will be stronger and stronger. ultimate results will be seen within a year to 1.5 years.

I've seen great-looking results with this. Why do they always go for a perfect circle hairline? Other shapes seem more natural.

No finasteride with my transplant despite the fact that I’ll eventually probably need another transplant 5-10 years down the road. I’m cool with it.

Yes I’ll get some pics ASAP. The first pics I posted look really good because the blood spots outline my new hairline a lot better. But nearly 4 months in and the hairs are really starting to grow in big time. Especially on the hairline. They’re not the thickest hairs right now but they’ll get thicker and thicker until I approach the 1 year to 1.5 year mark. I’m getting my analysis at month 8 which will be In August.

Definitely very happy I went with FUT because the scar is so thin and unnoticeable and it preserved my donor hair a lot better than FUE would have.
