Every time I watch “Dazed and Confused” I end up with this feeling of depression

Or nostalgy, like I wasted my best years or something.

Anybody else feels the same?

Did you live through those years? I was 5 in 1976, but my stepfather was 19, so I imagine living that time vicariously through him.

Its one of my favourite movies, and i get what you mean OP. Its the type of movie that makes you wish you were born in a different decade (1970s).

Also 10/10 soundtrack

I only watched the movie once when i was 11
the movie glamourizes the summer after high school

I 100% do not want to go back to re-live highschool , I just don't want to age.
best remedy i found is using using stimulants off the internet that are 100% legal just not well known.

Such a good movie and always hits the feels with the heavy nostalgia.

High School was pretty similar to that for me. Played football, parties every weekend with booze, summer nights always with the bonfires and weed, and of course the girls.

Good fcking times.

Y'all got me reminiscing now. Haven't seen the movie in a while but maybe it would bum me out too since I definitely miss those days. Life now is pretty damn solid, but it's hard to beat the fun and care-free experiences of high school.

Not really Mcconaughey scenes were great but I wanted to deck this kid when I was a teen. That feeling that you have now will only increase overtime, you're missing youth.

If you had your teen years and went to house parties in the age before texting and social media, you basically lived that movie. The 70s, 80s, and 90s, even the early '00s were all basically the same, except for minor differences like clothing style and what genre of music was dominant (70s: rock, 80s: pop, 90s: alternative/hip-hop). The rise of social media changed everything and fractured mainstream culture into the low IQ dominated cesspool it is today.
