Serious question, why does this matter?

If he really believed in it, he could have volunteered for the trials, taken it then. There was no shortage. They probably have left over doses from the trials that are not able to be used commercially now as FDA approved. He is free to go take those.

Strange, since the priority list does not mention anyone under 50 as far as I'm aware.

Once it's taken out of cold storage it only lasts 3 days, so they had excess which had to be used or wasted. Most people were desperate to get it.

Considering you're in the medical profession & know what mRNA does, what is it about the vaccine that makes you unwilling to take it, to go on holiday, for example. Or, unwilling to take the AZN vaccine, which, as you know, is not an mRNA vaccine?

Cards on the table, I too will not take the vaccine until needed to fly, or to get kids in to daycare etc etc, but I suspect for different reasons to others.

I might take it for air travel tbh, if it's absolutely necessary, and I would try to ensure it was the AZN one. Really it's just a cost-benefit decision, and the potential medical benefit personally I see as being zero. I'm not anywhere near an expert, I work in medical physics.

The whole covid thing in it's entirety I find highly suspect and conceited. I'm also reluctant to take it because in a way it justifies everything which the government has done this year, people see it as a way out of penury, and it's being offered up as if it's a way out if you're a good boy and just take your shot.

Tbf we're basically in the same boat in terms of preferring the AZN vaccine & will probably take it for the same reasons.

There are two possibilities, people in government and other organisations are either stupid or they're malicious. Neither possibility makes me want to take their vaccine.

So, either BioNTech are stupid and they will kill you, or, they want to kill you?

And the government either are too stupid to know this, or, they also want to kill you?

Do I really have to break this down to offer a contrary argument?

Is brexit stupid or malicious?

Alright the third alternative is that covid is really genuinely as deadly as has been made out, all the government measures are needed and justified, those in charge are both highly moral and intelligent, they really care and want what is best for us. But I mean the situation in its entirety, not just the vaccine on its own, and think this whole debacle is down to either stupidity, or malice. But just in terms of the vaccine, I think it's either likely to have high rates of unintended negative side effects or is actually meant to be harmful. There has been a lot online about it damaging female fertility by effecting placenta formation, which originally came from a Dr who used to work for Pfizer.

Brexit is ultimately down to the stupidity of David Cameron.

Not monetary cost... potential harm vs medical benefit.

That same person from Pfizer (I believe there were two of them) has a track record of false accusations. Just Google the names.

Your response is a bit disingenuous. Numbers don't lie & the numbers show a maximum of a 3% mortality rate, globally, of those infected. The issue was never deaths for the population, it was the exponential infectiousness that a poorly invested in social healthcare system could not keep up with should it have gone through the population without mitigating it.

Finally, considering the vaccine isn't mandatory for healthy young people, they are taking it without being mandated to do so, & those considered priorities are the same people the lockdowns were put in place for. Why would they now after damn near a year decide to kill pensioners?

He said he won't get the shot early and deprive higher priority patients of their inoculations. It's right there in the link you posted.

Wouldn't look good on the guy if he used his position to jump ahead of all those doctors and 90 year-olds.
