Can't believe there are people out there that even consider a .22 a gun

Mossad has a history of assassinating people with .22s srs. You can shoot someone in the head indoors without much risk of over penetration. Also, probably easier on the ears

There are two things needed to produce energy. Velocity and mass. If they are both the same then the energy is the same. But in most cases, the pellet gun falls short in both velocity and mass.

This is why misc is dying.

Which .22 exactly are you referring to?

I will assume .22 LR as this is pretty standard.

I put down bears with a .22 lr. Lol.

As for pellet guns, they make .30 cal pellet guns (air rifles) now that are suitable for deer sized game.

But the average .22 is a lethal round, and the average pellet gun is not.

depends on what you hit. I'm willing to bet a 22 is going to go through your car both ways, srs. 9 does easily.

.22lr will still kill a person retard.

Obviously not the best round for defense or military applications but it’ll still get the job done.

.22 mag is even better

A deer hit broadside in the lungs will go through the deer and have the bullet either in the off side lung, or under the skin on the other side depending on if it hits a rib or not.

The average pellet gun will get through the skin, and that's about it.

Not sure why this is a discussion when ballistics tables exist to prove op wrong.

Because no one respects the caliber for what it is and points them places they wouldn't point a .300 mag.

Sorry to hear OP's a *******.

I've taken down plenty of deer with a .22 long rifle. Headshot every time.
Brain looks like Campbells tomato soup after.
Not going to do that with your average pellet rifle.

Closest thing in .22 to a pellet rifle in power are BB Acorn caps all thats inside is the primer.
And they have enough power to take down a 30 pound Racoon.
