Just imagine that you and your doggo are out jogging, probably to graduate school to turn your life around, and BAM: you are accosted by a vicious Pug.
It’s usually in the back of the mind of every dog walker — What if we run into a vicious dog on the route? We’d like to think we could intervene if it happens, and we might even carry dog mace just to be sure.

But for Gabriel Diaz, it all happened so fast that he didn’t have time to save his little companion, Clyde, a Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix that he has had for about nine years.

“It was a hot day, so I almost didn’t go out with him,” he told the Times-Herald. “But he just loves his walks. He really looks forward to them, so we went.”

Diaz says he had just turned the corner and was heading back to his house on when he noticed that Clyde had perked up a bit and began wagging his tail. Then he saw a 100-pound pit bull racing toward them. The dog immediately grabbed Clyde, and though Diaz wrestled and fought with the animal — all the while screaming for help — Clyde was killed right in front of him.

As it turns out, city codes in fact do not favor victims in cases like these. Though the office couldn’t comment directly on this case, officer Angie Gatto said that if a dog has no prior history of being vicious, they can issue a warning to its owner which creates a paper trail in case there are further incidents.

She also said that an officer has to witness the dog off a leash in order to ticket the owner.

Why would the dog being off or on a leash matter if he kills your dog? This is exactly why you should carry a gun or at the very least a knife. If a dog bites my dog and won't let go he's getting stabbed in the neck.

Was it a pit bull or a pug? I'm confused.

A buddy of mine has a mastiff. He said one night they were having a party at his house, and someone left the door cracked for too long and his mastiff when flying out of the house. His dog immediately spotted a little dog (like a yorkie or something) on a walk. He bit the damn dog in half! He tried to apologize to the guy walking the dog, but the guy just picked up the pieces of his dog and said "its okay dude, it happens" and walked off. WTF? We think it must have been his ex's dog or something because how odd of a response is that?

My neighbor in my apartment complex has a pitbull named NOVA. He got her as a puppy over the summer, and I haven't seen her in a couple of months. Last night my wife was cooking and the apartment was getting smoky, so she opened the door to air it out. NOVA came rushing into our living room immediately and scared the living chit out of me! She immediately jumped in my lap on the couch and asked for snuggles.

Imagine experiencing that schit. What a tragedy. I can't imagine how I'd react if my dog was killed right in front of me. Luckily, I've never had a dog personally be attacked by another. I used to volunteer at a dog shelter in Montreal and there was one problematic, let's say...mixed breed, in there. He tore open the neck of a little terrier mix, so I had to rehabilitate him in my home for weeks. His neck stitches came undone and I could see all his neck muscle under there. It was really gross. Anyways, he survived and got adopted by a little old lady. He was a little prick, though. He kept trying to attack me when I was obviously trying to help the little fuker.

Pitbulls are trash and will always be trash. They're too alpha for 99% of owners and they're too popularized so every idiot who wants a dog gets one.

We have a Shih-Tzu so we always carry when we walk the little dude in case some big idiot dog tries something. My retarded state just had two counties lift the ban on the pitbulls too and I can't wait for those things to get banned again within a year of pets and children being eaten.

There's definitely too many morons who own this breed. I know it's a stereotype but the majority of people I see walking these dogs are trashy douchey types. A lot of insecure guys will get a pit cuz they think it makes them look hard as fuk.

I've had rottweilers. My last dog was a full-grown 100lbs male rottweiler and he was a gigantic baby that loved everyone and never hurt a fly his entire life. That could have been a different story in the hands of one of these dumbass owners.
