I definitely agree and I make it a point to not discuss these things with colleagues. The problem is he brought it up out of nowhere to all of us right before a presentation. He just felt the need to get it out there - uninvited.

Yes. We're barely out of the woods yet as a species - literally. All of these relatively peaceful societies and overarching absence of war are brand new concepts for us. We're still operating out of our primordial brains, fight or flight. Outrage, hysteria, and action before critical thought.

Yes. Colleges these days have become radical liberal indoctrination centers over and above institutes of higher learning. They're more interested in producing activists.

One of the tragic things is that, as you mentioned, the definition of racism becomes watered down over time and loses all of its meaning. These morons are directly negatively impacting the causes they claim to support. Toddler-adults with zero emotional regulation skills.

What I'm most annoyed at is how this one stuck. I try to brush it off because there isn't much I can do to cure idiocy, so I try and accept their ignorance and move on with my own life.

He's the blue pilled bard. Love some of his stuff but he's way too invested in Disney and the Bible to be taken seriously. His lectures on Jung, Nietzsche, Freud, Nazis, and Stalin are excellent though.

I'm really not into Peterson much. I've seen some of his videos and listened to a few interviews. What bothers me the most is the complete absence of critical thought and the immediate outrage. Hurling baseless accusations and basically regurgitating what you've heard without actually listening and making your own judgments.

I've been aware of his work for around a decade, particularly his personality research.

I don't envy his life at all. In order to make a mark you have to have particular idiosyncrasies. Even if I don't necessarily agree with everything they say, I do respect people that staunchly stick to their guns and don't waver from their beliefs. So, I do respect Peterson, and being in the spotlight like that and constantly have schmucks judging you critically must get really tedious.
