Die Hard is Not a F**king Christmas Movie

Tired of hearing this chit. Stop trying to pussify action movies by associating holiday themes with them just because they happen to take place around Christmas.

A Christmas Story, Home Alone, Christmas Vacation: obvious Christmas movies. Feel good holiday theme and all that.

Die Hard? No. Cut the fuking bullchit, it's an action movie. Done ranting.

Because of the Christmas setting, people associate the film with Christmas. What's the big deal if some people think of it as a "Christmas film" as a result?

It's obviously an action movie before it's a Christmas movie. Just because a movie takes place during Christmas doesn't make it a Christmas movie. Just because a movie has action in it doesn't make it an action movie, just like just because a movie has comedy in it doesn't make it a comedy.

'Christmas' isn't really a genre anyway. Movies of any genre can be Christmas movies. For instance Home Alone would be a Christmas Comedy. It's a Wonderful Life is a Christmas Drama. Die Hard is Christmas Action.
