Am unaware?? I can see the structure of the chip possibly affecting the ratio of the sauce, but what makes dipping wavy chips vs regulars so special?

That's part of it, the second part of it is that they are significantly less likely to crumble in the bag during transport. You'll always have a substantial enough chip to dip for the most part

That and they retain a little bit of the salt better, and will usually be a bit thicker. Means they have a better crunch, usually as well.

Tbh I love all chips, they're my favorite snack. Original style is still good.

Interesting. Will have to compare one wavy and one regular, from the same brand and of the same flavour for an accurate conclusion.

All chips are goat, but my preference of regular might be from the flavor more than the style of chip.

These are my favourite chips and I don't recall seeing them in wavy form, (not my pic)

Edit: they're kettle cooked and don't lack structural integrity at all brah, can dip with the force of a 1000 fat kids in sour cream with no falling apart.

Cape CodsAnd Dirty's. Both great chips but always break.

Better way of putting it is that they're not as great for dipping. Still good chips.

More chip surface area plus the regulars are probably going to break and get stuck halfway in the dip
