I personally don't. They are just the ones who bothered to invest the time and energy towards that end. I believe that you can be very socially and culturally adept simply by being around people who have those traits, or it may just come naturally to you. again, this is something that WOULD come with a 10/10 personality.

I'd go so far as to argue that a woman with a very successful career, by definition, will have to lose some points in the personality department, because success in the business world means adopting some very masculine personality traits, which to me are highly undesirable in a woman.

I do believe a combination of intelligence and personality traits do correlate with career progression though.

Yeah i'm not arguing that people with better personalities are going to do better in virtually any career avenue--that's a reasonable assertion. intelligence is definitely a good predictor of career success. However, I don't think career success is necessarily a good predictor of intelligence. Basically you (or at least I do) want a woman who could've had a great career if she'd wanted, but didnt care enough to (hopefully cause she found having a family with me to be a more fulfilling activity).

From personal experience, I didn't have initial attraction towards a few guys in the past, but their personality/intelligence/ambition in their career made me see them under a completely different light. Not saying they were 0/10 by any means, just average looking guys with amazing personalities. I find myself getting attracted to a guy's personality/intelligence a lot more than looks because when looking for a bf/husband material, I need the emotional connection and I get turned on by a guy's personality, so it's ok if they're just average looks wise. On the flip side, a nice face/body is great, but if I find the guy boring or can't carry a convo, that's a no go for dating (I've encountered this several times in the past).

I haven't been on a ton of first dates but I agree that one date is enough to guage interest. If there's no spark/zero chemistry during the first date (which to me, is at least a 1 hour conversation), I don't see how an additional 3 dates will change that. If I'm on the fence, I'll go on a second date, but I like to think that I'm a pretty good judge of character and can determine whether they're a good fit from spending an hour with them.
