Casual miscer checking in once again to point out how insufferable it is to try to read any thread with Anacrohn in it, same old “im smRter than you, i won the argument” sh it without actually saying anything of substance.

Just spend a year or two on the road. Your only bill will be your cell phone bill and your pronhub premium account and you'll be making probably 50K your first year out. A few years into it you can become a lease operator and if you do it right, you'll own your own truck and from there you can get your own authority and run your own freight. Don't spend your money on lot lizards, eating out, or simping to websloots and you'll be able to buy a house cash in a few years, or just invest. Oh, but you are too good to be a trucker? Well, that's your problem.
Lol at the boomers advice to go into a dying profession. This is why nobody takes you seriously.

Start your own company and pay your employees what you think is fair.

That's what I did. Even the production line workers with no education are easily able to afford a nice house in a rather expensive part of the country.

I had a company for a few years and paid above top pay in the field. Weird how people like their job when they can afford to live a decent life.

It is easier than ever to make money if you are adaptable, entrepreneurial and driven. The barriers have come crashing down in so many ways.

If you're an unmotivated plodder who just wants to clock in and clock out though yeah it is gonna be much harder. The future will require you to continually reinvent yourself and retool your skillset.

This is one of the reasons why I stated earlier in the thread that I wished the world was run by small businesses. I believe most people would want to behave like this. But corporate culture/public company values are savage.

doesn't require any planning. if you can go without it then there is less demand. part of why US-style healthcare and insurance is such an enormous drain of resources that could be better used elsewhere.

it is beyond individual laziness or irresponsibility.

In my response to the first part of your message, I mentioned how we're living in an employer's world and how they can pick and choose between employees. Well, they want the most qualified people they can get for the lowest price, so they make having a degree a requirement and box out tons of otherwise capable candidates.

This is part of the problem, as I see it, with the working world today. A lot of arbitrary hiring practices that make seeking employment difficult. Employers no longer want to invest in training, mentorships, apprenticeships, and the like. They seem to just want plug-and-play for the lowest possible cost.

I agree that non-college paths should be de-stigmatized and promoted. From what I've seen, some Euro countries like Germany and Switzerland (which both have robust economies) have a long history of using apprenticeships to train professionals (bankers, carpenters, etc.) As an example, the CEO of UBS does not have a degree and instead got his start through an apprenticeship. Why more countries don't adopt this system, I don't know.

Lastly, it's not really feasible to tell everyone to go into the trades. If everyone went to trade school, having a skill would eventually become redundant.

I don't know what the ultimate solution is, but requiring a 4-year degree for a job that's mostly clerical and repetitive just doesn't make sense to me.
trimmed up (because forum). this is a big piece of the employment problem. i just heard this week that there is a push to reduce the number of positions that require a degree for consideration. search: STAR

Right, there is a huge difference between boomers. Most of them are retired now, not even in the picture.

You are the one having a hard time it seems. Another part of your problem is that you think you have all the answers but are only left with problems. I'm nobody special. Honestly average at best. Yet I'm doing fine now. It wasn't given to me I'll say that. I see people like you, it's usually those who never even tried and just tap out in round 1 and complain it's not fair. No, it's not fair. It never was. Get over it. My other post, I talked about the trucking thing. That is one path. I did it for 2 years. These are Paths nobody wants to take, they just take the bitch road instead. Oh, you are too good to do that? Well, like I said, that's the problem. Fact is you really aren't that good, at least not as good as you think you are.

Now, signing off this thread, I've got to go to work.
you think theyll understand what youre saying? its the thing you said on your 1st post, they fail in life,do things wrong and people treat them as the victim ...anyways time and life will be in for a huge surprise for them

you think thats bad , man i moved to ***** and travel every now and then around the region.... you know that indians/bangladshis/africans works 7 days a week, 14+ hours a day , most of them dont get wages and the ones who does earn 300 to 400$ a month ,no insurane/medical and no AIR CONDITION !! in a 120 degrees weather?

75% of this generation are cuck suckers /sluts/ attention whores(men and women)
You realize the generation everyone sh*ts on went through world wars, and way more severe economic depressions. They couldn't just jump on the computer and look for work. They had to go outside, take flyers, fuking walk/ride, HAND write resumes, look at the newspaper etc. They had nearly ZERO connectivity everything was face-to-face. They had a basic telephone at best. I have family members who came from nothing, had to put up with all sorts of hardships and here we the most victimhood generation wanting MORE handouts while they go out and buy the latest iphone and sit on a computer worshipping E-celebrities.

No-one has a right to an easy high paying job. No-one has a right to be bailed out because they can't budget properly or swallow their pride and maybe work two sh*t jobs. Lifestyle wise and technologically we are in the most ridiculously easy time in human history. In America even the poverty line is considered living "Well" in many portions of the world.

All I see is more reasons for people to hate capitalism--not perfect but it's still the best--and opt in for some socialist global reform, because hey if my life is fuking sh*t I want everyone else to be at the same level.

If you live in countries like the US, Australia and think times a tough then you're naive. Just the very luxury of posting in this thread is one that most cannot share. Times may be "Tougher" relative to past years but they are not tough.

How about we go back to developing strong nuclear families again so leftism stops spawning more useless and whining generations with their hand-out lacking any personal responsibility. It's sad yes that many kids have non-supportive parents emotionally and financially but that can be changed.

There has to be some self-responsibility. College and it's overload of redundant degrees and C average grades to enter are a farce for non-STEM or decent degrees. You have people just accepting government school loans without thinking down the line, accumulating around 60-100k in debt then crying how everything is too expensive and how they should be bailed out. WHY DID YOU AGREE TO THAT CONTRACT THEN? Why didn't you research other career paths and options? A college degree only helps if it's even remotely application to what profession you are seeking.
all of this makes sense for the older gen. but you think the late 90's - 2000 + generation would understand? you think what you said would be eye opener? no no no ...... the problem isnt just them.... its how our system grew to be ,how a drugy ,a slut a gang member go on social media and start encouraging idiots to follow his/her tracks ..... all the way before social media ..... only achieved member got to lay their opinion/advise on tv,science fairs, economic and political symposiums and mature/well educated/knowledgable people would relate.... hence building a proper community "for the most part "
Some round-a-bout degree that the next door dog has somehow entitles you to an awesome starting salary and longevity in one company until you retire? Why are people so anal about non-college paths? Too droned? You can get certificates that take 6months-1year, you could start a trade early and complete an apprenticeship before 20 and have a house down payment in your early 20s. You could have a padded resume by 21 and be light years ahead or you could have a 3 year bachelor in some useless degree.

Now I know what morons are thinking and just for my piece of mind, I did go to college and it was a fuking joke, just an extended highschool. I could keep going back and get more degrees but why? It won't help me in the slightest. I definitely see the need for college education if you have to train specific skills in areas such as medicine, law, engineering, but have you read through the course lists these days? How half these degrees made it through is beyond me. All you are doing is getting a glorified certificate of nearly zero value and digging yourself into debt that will take a decade or more to get over.

I support people going to college if it's worthwhile and applicable to their professional goals. I don't support people thinking college is the only answer. It clearly isn't. Maybe Universities should go back to only accepting people who get good grades again?
