Crazy how weed can absolute fuk someone’s life under the right conditions...

I know a lot of people from high school (in addition to my older brother) whos long-term use has brought out a myriad of mental conditions. My brother is borderline schizo/bipolar and I truly think long-term use has “brought it out” of sorts. I had a year where I would use multiple times per week and had to stop when I started to notice that it lead to extreme insecurities/borderline panic when looking inward at my personality....but 99% of users like to classify it as perfectly harmless.

Idk brahs, not saying drinking is better, but the psychedelic nature of marijuana has seemed to move a lot of close friends to a different “mental plane” that is not positive in any way (hyper-awareness of themselves, increased paranoia, etc)

When I first started smoking weed, it mostly made me laugh at stupid chit and eat a bunch, and I felt pretty happy/relaxed. Over time, it started to get less enjoyable and more paranoia, until eventually it was just paranoia anytime I touched the stuff. So I quit... But some people get addicted to that paranoid feeling, weirdly, which can damage their mind a lot because they are actively embracing illogical mental states just because it also gets them a bit high, even though it's less fun than it used to be.

100%, that’s why I stopped as well. Used to have the time of my life watching documentaries all night now all I can do is pace and think. Not great for some people

Weed not being harmful is cope. Literally has withdrawal symptoms. There is nothing worse than a dude who says "bro I'm fine to drive all I did was smoke" yet when you're in the car with him you're having fear for your life.

With that being said it's way less harmful than alcohol and has some medical properties. And it's not my business what others do with their lives, but if a friend came to me looking for advice it would be to drop the 'erb

How exactly do they test to see if someone is good to drive over there? With alcohol it's pretty simple, but with weed, I remember taking 1-2 hits back in the day and I would be stoned for the entire day.

I used to be entertained on weed just by reading a fukking Wikipedia article on Walmart, that was enough to be entertained lmfao... Then it got from that to the point where one hit was enough to make me freak out anytime I heard somebody toot their horn on the road outside. Just crazy. I know for a fact if I smoked it again I'd be in a negative headspace again, the part of my brain that was able to enjoy weed is just gone.

Funny to me that people with “anxiety issues” are the ones who habitually smoke pot. Brb normal people learn to manage stress instead of avoiding it like a puzzy.

It makes me too self aware and introspective. I've only had 2 panic attacks in my life (legit, full blown panic attacks). Both times I was high

Used to smoke a ton, nowadays I hate it. It makes me paranoid and more prone to violent reactions, srs.

Also makes me develop a conscience for chit that I normally wouldn't think twice about.

Normal people? You mean the 86% of adults (Australia) that drink alcohol?

Everyone is coping, if it's not pot, it's alcohol.

Both of these....good to know I wasn’t the only one. Couldn’t think “normal” for weeks after that. It was like the world was out to get me...I remember one time in high school I got entirely too high and was watching late night TV shows and infomercials for hours. I came to the realization that humans look exactly like advanced chimps and it ****ed my worldview for so long. I couldn’t even converse with people without looking at them thinking “wow, we are chimps”. It is lmao looking back at that

Absolutely not a great coping mechanism either, but my point is I think the psychedelic nature of weed vs alcohol actually changes the person. Alcohol may dumb someone down, but I’ve seen legit permanent personality changes in long-time weed users

I’d imagine most don’t drink to deal with anxiety. Not to mention it’s a different effect.

THC levels in Todays Marijuana is a lot higher than what your parents were smoking in the 70's.

I laugh when people say it's natural or safe. Maybe 30 -100 years ago but todays strains have such high contents of THC that it will and does damage your brain.

here's what i've learned as someone who was an absolute sack of chit stoner and hung out with and saw many people fall into the sack of chit stoner life

not once have I seen a single person improve their life because they started smoking, not a single one

Yeah but people are also retarded by default (depression, fatigue, headaches)

Most people have discomforts and "off" emotional balances or energy levels anyway.

Life sucks in general, why not be COMPASSIONATE and let them suffer less and actually have a chance to feel better sometimes as opposed to always being a rat in a cage of mortality and banality.

the world is a vampire by default.

I don't necessarily care if its harmful or not or if people want to use it or not. But every single person I've ever known that uses it on a regular basis is a fukk up loser. And it seems like long term they end up dim witted.

It might have some merits for medicinal purposes but I really have a hard time seeing any kind of argument for using it for any other purpose.
