holy fuk mirin Texas real estate

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1...80529157_zpid/

How is a 3800 sf upscale house on a lake just 30 min drive from Downtown Houston only $400k??

This would be $3M in Toronto srs

How is this possible? is it cause they don't allow Chinese investors?

Do you like living in TX? It seems kind of primitive and exposed to me.

I like the opposite of this, ancient and isolated.

Just need a green card... Or maybe I'll just drive down and go undocumented.

Mexicans can do it despite the southern border being one of the most patroled in the world. The northern border is maybe the least secure in the world.

Can't even count how many houses I checked out in TX trying to find one I liked.

They're always full of gaudy furniture and the rooms feel claustrophobic.

What's the point of this? I'm guessing just to see what the highest bidder will give them.

Better snatch them up fast OP. Californians are migrating to Texas in mass and will most likely bring their liberal politics with them and turn the state into a sh|thole.

Austin is already shaping up to be the San Francisco of Texas.

I thought it's because of the Chinese buying up all the real estate?

What's wrong with Houston? It's large, cheap, relatively safe (compared to big American cities), and no state income tax

Oh no I meant 400k usd is 500k cad but I see that you're saying now. Idk about BC but the house in OP 30 mins from Toronto is at least 3 million.

Hmm true I'm sure it's not as good as it seems but still far more reasonably priced than most places in North America

also op, that home is likely repaired from major flood damage in the hurricane a couple years back

and I looked up school rating: 4/10

Texas does have cheap real estate - but dont act like thats worth anything more that the current price.

This

Real estate is not that cheap on TX.

Edit:

It’s not a bad location, but when you factor everything in its slightly above average (as in slightly better area to purchase compared to all states) I would say.
"One day I won't be able to lift any more. Not I won't want to lift. I mean physically unable. That day could be decades from now or it could be tomorrow. All I know is that's the day I'll wish I could lift more than ever. The day I'd give anything for one more workout, one more set, or one more cardio session. So go hard and enjoy every workout, every set, every rep. Because one day you will wake up and you will never get it back."

Under the Biden admin they will give more incentive for Chinese citizens to purchase homes all over USA with CCP dirty money driving home prices up.

There are worse places absolutely.

Texas sits 18th for states on median home price.

Combine it with the higher property taxes and it’s an average-to-solid location to buy property

I’d wager Tennessee is the best place. Lower median home price, lower property tax, no state income tax.

If you really want your money to take you far on a house move to Tennessee
