Second Thoughts about Nursing

So...brahs, please advise.

Was an EMT, then went to school for nursing. Graduated with RN-BSN bachelor's degree and am job hunting. Became redpilled towards end of nursing school (was inexperienced with females). Having second thoughts about ANY kind of nursing job, because I'm like paranoid about all the MeToo BS, slooty behaviors, entitled attitudes and overall female complaining, cattiness, and annoying traits. That's not to say all have been like this; some certaintly seem professional and kind, but TBH 2020 dating, sexual harrassment false accusations and risks are making me question doing anything in nursing at all.

RNs make decent money, have lots of job opportunities, and help people. These are all good positives, but I am worried about that ONE patient or co-worker that is a **** and tries to mess me up.

Misc, am I just paranoid and overreacting here?

Should I suck it up and just do the job or do I seriously need to consider an exit strategy?

No but nursing is a female-dominated profession. Some specialties have close to 50/50 male: female ratios depending on where you work, but my last jobs were mostly guys and it was much preferred when it comes to not worrying about entitled womez/MeToo BS srs

Tbh most male nurses I've seen are. Much respect to them for helping people and doing a good job srs, but most of them seem to be bluepilled guys and are super nice (feminine), fat, ghey, etc. Nothing against gheys but I'm not one lol. I don't know what I was thinking when I started nursing school srs. Inb4 "working with sloots is good" umm...just no lol. Any alpha murses please aware me, give me the advices srs

why not get your paramedic license and become a chadfighter? Less dealing with sloots and the work politics involved with that. Ive lived with a nurse and I would never wish a man get himself involved with that political drama.

TBH I would consider civi medic. Unsure military nurse would be way better. If it wasn't for some medical history, my dream job was combat arms or infantry. Grass is greener, but I've heard a lot of people saying the loss of freedoms isn't always worth the squeeze in the military, depending on job. Its getting more PC and anti-male by the day. Clown world for sure lol

Also worried about the psychiatric patients though. Mental health is a definite area of interest I would pursue as an RN, but I'm also paranoid about one of those patients making some kind of BS claim. Perhaps I'm just overthinking it, idk.

Speaking from experience, I actually had something like this happened to me except I wasn’t the guilty party. This NA kept speaking to me inappropriately full of sexual innuendos. It never bothered me because I wasn’t attracted to her at all and would just go about my business. But other nurses (females) overheard her all the time and went to management. I always shrugged it off and did my job. One day, I got a call from HR asking specific questions about our interactions. Thankfully, they made it clear I wasn’t in trouble and other complaints were made on her.

But with a twist of a few words, I could have easily been made to look guilty. I didn’t feel like I ‘fit in’ in nursing till I started working with physicians and CRNAs (mostly guys). We talked about finances, investing and all kinds of good stuff rather than hearing about some drama or gossip from the nursing staff. Ultimately, I wound up leaving nursing and now I’m an analyst in healthcare.

Not gonna lie, as a single guy there was some attractive nurses all over, but many were married/kids. I was constantly being set up on blind dates with their single friends which put dating mode on easy for a while.

Be prepared to be blamed for everything OP and document the heck outta everything to CYA. Everyone’s looking for a quick buck these days.

Thanks for the aware. Yeah i legit had an MA try to stealth feel my pen0r one time during an assessment. I shoulda said something. These h0s have double standards...if they like you, they have no boundaries, but then they go call HR on the ugly, bald short manlet they might not dig.

Nice. Best of luck! Also, best tip I could give is: NCLEX questions. Do some every day while in school, say maybe 25-50 per day. UWorld is the best resource I've used to pass the NCLEX.
