Based Tulsi Gabbard takes a stand against trans*******ry

Cliffs:
- Bill compels federally funded universities to require that trans*******s compete in sports according to their biological sex, determined at birth, by a doctor.
- Trans*******s seething
- WTF I love women in politics now

Democratic Hawaii Rep. and former 2020 Presidential candidate Tulsi Gabbard introduced a bill into the U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday that would dictate Title IX protections for female athletes be based on biological sex—a term often used to refer to gender assigned to a person at birth—that advocate have decried as inherently transphobic.

Title IX prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any educational program or activity that receives federal funding, and is well known for its requirement that women’s sports programming receive equal support to men’s programming.

Gabbard, who declined to run for re-election in 2020 and is in the final days of her Congressional term, introduced the bill, titled the “Protect Women’s Sports Act,” with Republican Oklahoma Rep. Markwayne Mullin. Republican Georgia Sen. Kelly Loeffler introduced a similar bill, titled “the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act,” into the Senate in September. (Loeffler’s bill has not been taken up for a vote.)
How long until this certified HBB crosses the aisle?

I would die for Tulsi.

She’s been getting it in the neck for this all week. It’s made people I previously saw as sensible lose their minds.

No way she can stay a Democrat after this.

The President, who is supposedly from the same party as her, is publicly giving the go ahead to 9 year old children receiving the trans******* chemical castration treatment at their own behest.

Realizing thread should probably be in R&P so I'm go to report myself and see if the mods will do me a favor.

She honestly strikes me as one of the few truly centrist politicians in America right now and she just gets completely phucked by the Democratic establishment. I don't agree with her on everything, but she gets the big stuff right imo.

Literally the one Democratic politician besides maybe Joe Manchin about whom I can say that.

Just LOL. Can you imagine our ancestors hearing about the future in the year 2020? In 2020, its controversial to take a stand and say people shouldn't mutilate their own nature-assigned genderparts. Honk honk, clown world

As if the term is somehow outdated and antiquated.

Sounds like she's just doing this on her way out anyway, as I guess she chose not to run for reelection.

Anyway, the bill will probably be struck down immediately in the house and is largely symbolic but what a time to be alive, when saying a woman is a woman and a man is a man is going to be voted overwhelmingly against by the United States Congress.

I agree with almost none of her economic policy, but it’s hardly even that radical compared to what most leftcels are proposing these days.

Taxing corporate profit to aid small business isn’t even that terrible of an idea compared the kind of socialism LARP policy floating around the house rn. How can you oppose punitive measures against the stock buyback mafia? Those *******s should be dragged through the streets by their hair and left in the stocks for weeks for that chit ded srs.

She gets most social policy right though and her focus on American institutions and rationality is really welcome tbh because she’s practically alone in that regard on the left. That’s why I consider her a respectable centrist, she far from ideal but she is at least not a hysterical shrew like Pelosi, AOC, or Schumar.

I have thought the same thing. She is the only candidate to whom liberalism does not explicitly equal deep seated hatred for the foundational principles of America.

Leftist gen pop is INCREDIBLY stupid. Why do you think Kamala felt the need to explain what the word "debt" meant in the VP debate.

Start looking at government wastage, the bloated civil service and politician salaries first.
I agree with you almost 100%. The government has no business giving enormous bailouts to “too big to fail” corporations who take it with next to no conditions, use it to make sure their stock doesn’t collapse (as opposed to actually just increasing their profitability via competitive improvements), and then laying off tens of thousands of Americans— whose taxes were used to finance that same corporate welfare.

But they’ve already done all that now and they should be punished for it.

Artificially propping up a business via tax money is not a “responsibility” to the stockholder. It’s socialism. At least real socialist regimes have the balls to attach strings to their welfare.

I don't know, as far as the trannies in female sports thing - I'm mainly of the thought that, females tend to overly be in favor of the stuff that leads to shyt like this - so I kind of applaud it. You wanted it, you got it - let them experience some of the consequences for their dumb feels/emotion over logic BS.

The problem is they don't learn from their lesson. That's why the only real solution is to not allow them to act in the first place.

They shouldn't.

But if they are going to use their tax-payer funded bailouts to artificially pump up the value of their stock that would otherwise completely collapse, then the government should expect to see a return on some of that money in the form of taxes on their less severely diminished profitability.

The government has smaller scale assistance programs for smaller businesses already. Corporate subsidization of those programs seems like the perfect way to offset the enormous tax burden the government underwrote to ensure those ******* businesses didn't collapse either.

Notice how the larger corporations have increased profits while small businesses are shut down?

Why do you think the larger corporations are allowed to operate as usual while small businesses are persecuted?

That doesn't mean I agree with OPGenesis' hot take, but lol if you don't believe that "campaign contributions" influence policy.

Yes, so really it all boils down to government corruption or ineptitude in the end...
